PJ-Darl Rivera Macalintal posted a story to the Love What Matters Facebook page where she explains the moment she had an instant connection with a stranger thanks to the necklace she wore around her neck - and it has touched many mums.
"I was helping a lady on the till at the pharmacy today when she told me how beautiful my necklace was," the post begins.
"In an instant, my eyes burned with tears. I tried hard to compose myself and still be professional, thanked her and asked, 'Did you have one, too?'"
Sadly, the lady in the pharmacy had lost a baby - just like the woman she was helping - and in memory of her infant wears a heart-shaped pendant with two footprints on it around her neck.
"This lady was my blessing today. I guess all of us mommas who have angel babies will always connect, we are complete strangers but having gone through the same grief, suddenly we know each other so much deeper than our long time friends."
The story really resonated with a lot of mums, who quickly shared their loss.
"I too have a necklace with my angel baby's footprints I get compliments on it all the time and have had some touching conversations like that as well. My son's 1st angelversary is coming up on Thanksgiving and I know it'll be an emotional day," wrote one mum.
While another said: "I'm sorry that we all share such a sad bond, but am so thankful to walk this road with a group of wonderful mommies. Love to all the angel mothers."
Another thanked Rivera Macalintal for sharing her experience: "I cannot express how much articles, such as this one, means to parents who have lost children. This topic should not be taboo and I thank you for once again sharing these stories."
