Every year, the Dublin Theatre Festival brings together artists, theatre-makers and audiences from Ireland, with a commitment to contribute to social and cultural life.

This year, the event will take place from Saturday, 29th September to Saturday, 16th October 2016 in venues around Dublin.

The festival incorporates theatre, music, dance and family events as well as artist talks, public discussions and artist development programmes.

Highlights from the festival include A Midsummer Night’s Dream in the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre and a brand new production of Mozart’s Don Giovanni.

There will also be a series of panel discussions, critical events and work-in-progress showcases, throughout the festival.

And for the kids: Theatre for Children will see The Ark and Dublin Theatre Festival come together to present internationally acclaimed work for children.

There will be plenty of fun interactive games, and audiences can find out what ever happened to Hansel and Gretel!
