Listen up Dunnes Stores shoppers! Have you recently bought a children’s accessory toy in Dunnes Stores? If so, you may need to return the product!
Dunnes Stores have issued and urgent recall of a children’s hair styling product that may cause harm to the eyes.
‘Crystal Creations Glittering Hair Accessories’ is the product in question and it’s being recalled due to concerns that parts of the product may harm the user’s eyes.
The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission have named the glue in the kit as the potentially dangerous aspect, claiming that the instructions on how to use the glue applicator are inadequate and that the warnings on the pack are insufficient.
They are concerned that if the glue comes into contact with children’s eyes, it may cause harm or even vision loss. The CCPC have issued a statement saying:
‘If you believe that you have one of these products then you should stop using it immediately, and return the product to your local Dunnes Stores shop for a full refund.
‘Customers can also contact Dunnes Stores customer service with queries at customerservice@dunnesstores.com.’
They estimate that there are approximately 1,356 affected units in the Republic of Ireland that are dangerous because of inadequate warnings on packaging and inadequate instruction on how to use the glue applicator.
