Fans couldn’t help but wonder about the silver ring Ed Sheeran was spotted wearing during a concert earlier this week.
Many people believed that the Perfect singer had gotten married in secret.
However, during an appearance on the BRIT Awards red carpet, the Thinking Out Loud singer revealed that the rumours were fake.
Ed told Sky News that the silver band is, in fact, an engagement ring. The singer admitted that he thinks he and fiancé Cherry Seaborn should both wear rings to mark their engagement.

Speaking about his upcoming nuptials to his childhood sweetheart, the Galway Girl singer stated that the public will not know about it.
He shared that he wants to keep his private life out of the public eye, therefore details about his wedding ceremony will be a secret.
The singer-songwriter is nominated for a string of awards at this evening’s BRIT awards, including Best Male Solo Artist and his album Divide has been nominated in the MasterCard British Album of the Year category.
Speaking of his best-selling album, the 27-year-old revealed that his favourite songs off the album are Perfect and Hearts Don’t Break Around Here.
“I’m a sucker for a love song,” he admitted.
It's safe to say the singer is a true romantic! Ed revealed his engagement news on Instagram by posting a sweet Polaroid snap where he is kissing Cherry on the cheek.
"Got myself a fiancé just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx," he wrote.
