Friday had the world in raptures as the globe watched Princess Eugenie marry her love Jack Brooksbank.

The beautiful wedding took place in Windsor, much like the weddings of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry and Kate Middleton and Prince Middleton, as is royal tradition.

Another, quieter tradition took place the day after the ceremony.

On Saturday morning at Westminster Abbey, Eugenie  completed a tradition also done by the Queen, the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex.

Following in their footsteps, Eugenie laid her wedding bouquet on the Grave of the Unknown Warrior.

According to Westminster Abbey, 'The Warrior's Grave stands as a remarkable tribute both to the fallen of the First World War and to all those who have died since in international military conflict.'

The gesture takes place to honour Britain's fallen soldiers.

On her wedding day, Eugenie carried a bouquet by Patrice van Hellen Oakes.

The bouquet was comprised of Lily of the Valley, Stephanotis pips, hints of baby blue thistles, white spray roses, trailing ivy and myrtle.

Tweeting a photo of the bouquet, Westminster Abbey wrote: 'The bouquet carried by Princess Eugenie at the #royalweddding yesterday has been sent to rest on the Grave of the Unknown Warrior here at Westminster Abbey.'
