Judy Maloney

Judy is a psychotherapist, writer, parenting coach, speaker and media contributor on mental health.

 

Judy is the owner and creator of Brave Heart Therapy, where she sees her clients in her clinic in Limerick. She works with individuals, teenagers, students and parents, and is trained in many areas specific to the client's needs.

 

Judy has experience dealing with many diverse issues such as stress, OCD, phobias, loss and bereavement, abuse, addiction, self-harm, LGBT issues, depression, health and wellbeing, parenting and self-esteem issues.

 

Along with her skills as a psychotherapist, Judy is also qualified in a number of other areas such as QTT, NLP, and CBT to name just a few. Judy has combined this range of modalities into a unique process known as Brave Heart Therapy, to support her clients in achieving their goals.

 

Judy is a regular radio contributor on mental health, and she also helps people overcome varying issues impacting on their mental health on her weekly newspaper column with the Limerick Post.

 

Judy is a graduate of PCI College and Middlesex University where she successfully completed her BSc. Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy. She is a fully qualified psychotherapist and an accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).

 

As a mother-of-three, Judy is aware of the challenges of parenting, and how that can impact on our own self-care and how to regain it. She holds a diploma in Family Support and Crisis Intervention, specialising in families and individuals dealing with both addiction and the effects of imprisonment. Judy is also formally trained in suicide intervention, addiction issues and bereavement support.

 

Judy explains: "I support and inspire people who are feeling anxious, demotivated, and not good enough. I help them to realise their full potential and inner strength so they can regain their confidence, reduce overwhelm and live a life of fulfillment and peace of mind."
