Not only do they fight fires, but the wonderful men and women who work as fire fighters also help to deliver babies - just like little Matilda!
The team at the Dublin Fire Brigade took to Twitter today following the successful delivery of a baby girl, who was so eager to see the world she wouldn't wait for her mum to reach the hospital.
Congrats to baby #Matilda born today on #AustraliaDay with the assistance of our Swords fire & ambulance crew at home. Mum + baby doing well pic.twitter.com/HEWRZtAcUN

Uploading a photo of the newborn, they offered their congratulations to the new mum:
"Congrats to baby #Matilda born today on #AustraliaDay with the assistance of our Swords fire & ambulance crew at home. Mum and baby are doing well [sic]”
Not surprisingly, followers were quick to praise the lads for their work.
@DubFireBrigade Ahhh congrats!! That be my perfect way to have a baby! Hate hospitals
