It sounds like this famous mum-of-one and much-loved singer may have some competition on her hands if her recent comments are anything to go by!

Irish singer, Imelda May, who welcomed her first child in August 2012, has recently suggested there may be more than one songstress in her household - something the star finds utterly endearing.

Having made a special appearance during the New Year Concert in Dublin, it may come as no surprise to learn that little Violet is totally comfortable in the spotlight.

Commenting on her daughter's passion for the limelight, Imelda revealed: "She tells me not to sing, that she wants to. She's great!"

41-year-old Imelda, who shot to fame in the early noughties after wowing record producers with her unique voice, insists her daughter's love of singing is not the only similarity they share.

According to the Johnny Got a Boom Boom singer, Violet's demeanour echoes hers as child, with Imelda explaining: "She's more like me than husband Darrel. Apparently she is exactly how I was. She would give anything a try."

Utterly captivated by the little girl she shares with her husband of 13 years, Imelda praises the child's strong personality, saying: "She takes a while to warm to people. You have to prove yourself and she takes her time to decide if she wants to talk to you or not. But I like that!"

Do we see a mother/daughter duet in the future?!
