As every new mum knows, taking and sharing snaps of her new arrival is part and parcel of motherhood, so we can only imagine how devastated EastEnders star, Jacqueline Jossa, was after uploading a photo of her baby daughter, Ella.

Hoping to give fans and followers an insight into family life, the popular 22-year-old actress uploaded a photo of a recent family holiday and paid tribute to her little girl in the process.

But as opposed to compliments and messages of support, Jacqueline, who shares baby Ella with reality TV star Dan Osborne, was subject to online abuse which targeted her four-month-old baby daughter.

Slamming the tot as 'ugly' and writing: "She looks like an autistic", followers of the actress inexplicably abused a defenceless child, much to the utter horror of her outraged fans.

Refusing to let the cruel comments slide, Jacqueline's fans responded to the online bullies, writing: "That is disgusting @cbt198, if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. That is a defenceless child. Bully."

Echoing fellow fans, one disgusted Instaram user silenced critics, writing "Firstly I'll have you know that Autistic children are very beautiful, important, special children. Secondly, even if she was, why would it be of any concern to you? And, thirdly, you cannot tell by looking at a child if they are autistic! Autism is like a leaf which can branch out from other conditions. So zip it!"

Unfortunately, this isn't the first time this week that we've reported on children becoming the target of vicious online bullies.
