In our household we don't usually use jar pasta sauces,I've been making then from scratch since my eldest came along so needless to say I was unfamiliar with the brand Janet's Country Fayre. Having said that, if I were to buy a jar this is exactly what I would be looking for as there are no additives and no added salt and sugar so packed full of natural flavour. For me this is highly important as there are so many highly processed products on the market. It is refreshing to see that Janet's Country Fayre takes pride in making sauces that are convenient but also nutritious, this is the ideal for most families.

I can honestly say no meal was left behind. My kids are pasta lovers and this trial has made my life so much easier having a product they enjoyed to hand!! My son's favourite was the pizza sauze and my husband and I loved the arrabiatta sauce. We all agreed that Janet's sauces were fresh and light just like homemade. They were delicious.
I would be glad to recommend Janet's Country Fayre to friends and family. I also want to comment on how the pasta sauce jar is full size unlike other pizza sauce brands. This is excellent for pizza night with larger families! I will definitely be looking out for Janet's Arrabiatta on the shelves, it was by far my absolute favourite and just delicious!!

We had never heard of Janet's Just Delicious Sauces before this trial. My family especially loved the Roast Basil and Garlic sauce which we added to a pasta dish. My 1 year old daughter didn't need to be asked once to eat up she throughly enjoyed the flavour.
Without doubt it was such an ease to no there was no added sugar or salt especially for my daughter. There is so much sugar and salt in products now reassurance is a great comfort that my daughter is getting wholesome foods. What I loved about the sauces is that they added flavour without the hassle of cooking vegetables especially now there is a 6 month old baby in the house. I have while shopping now started to look for the products to have available for my daughter and also us parents.
I am a great believer that buying Irish is so important to keep our community going. And to have knowledge of where our food is coming from.
I really did enjoy these sauces and I will definitely be buying them again.

I hadn't heard of the products before being selected to sample them! but since I have received them I have spotted them in my local Supervalu which is great to see!

Given the fact I have a 15month old baby, a pasta sauce which is both healthy for parents and baby is important, where we can all eat the same meal.
Generally a lot of the baby pasta sauces are tasteless, however Janet's is bursting with flavour! My 15 month old is very picky with food but he loved all the pasta sauces and he even enjoyed the pizzas we made.

It is vitally important for me and my husband that the product contains no added sugar and salts as my 15 month old is already exposed to so much of this it is nice to know that his main meal is sugar and salt free. There is no lack of flavour with Janet's products!

I am in my mid 30's and supporting Irish businesses is so important to me, it's great to see Janet's in Supervalu and I have already purchased more of her products in my local supervalu. Only for this trial the sauces would not have been on my radar. I have already recommended them to family and friends.
The sauces far exceeded my expectations. The mix of flavour, sugar and salt free & the fact that they are Irish is the perfect mix and will make me continue to purchase the product.

We really enjoyed taking part in the trial of Janet's Fayre products. The sauces were perfect for a busy household without any compromise on nutrition or taste. The sauces have no "bits" which was perfect for my fussy eater and the pizza sauce was great for an evening of cooking pizzas together. Would definitely recommend.

I am a stay at home mum of five children ranging in age from 10 months to 10 years. I like to cook from scratch and try to give my children nutritious meals and avoid highly processed foods as much as I can. I have, for a long time, made my own pasta sauce because I just didn’t like what was on the market. Some of the sauces from the supermarkets were just too sweet, had lumps of onions, had too much oil, salt, the flavours were just too strong for the kids and to be honest I felt guilty using them because they weren’t Irish.
I had never heard of Janet’s just delicious range before, and I was a bit worried at the start that it would just be another overly sweet pasta sauce with lots of hidden salt. I was delighted when I read the ingredients because they were the same as what I use when I cook so I was happy to test them on some of the most honest food critics that I know, my children. I was a bit worried about the no sugar and no salt when I was serving up Janet’s bolognese for the first time, but the kids didn’t notice any difference. You see here is the thing, we already season the mince when we are cooking it and add salt to the pasta when boiling it and sometimes the kids like to sprinkle a bit of cheese on top, so, this meal doesn’t need any extra salt or sugar, it just needs a nice strong tomato flavour which the sauce gave.
The other sauces went down a treat too. A few of their little friends arrived home with them after school at short notice, making 9 kids for dinner. I cooked a big pot of pasta and dished out the Roast basil and garlic to the older kids and the Classic Roast tomato to the smaller kids, a laid out a selection of toppings on the table which included olives (salty), and everything was eaten. There were no comments of “I don’t like it” or “it has no flavour” again proving that these sauces are all flavour without added salt of sugar.
One very busy Saturday afternoon the Pizza sauce was spread over some day-old baguettes and topped with pizza toppings and thrown in the oven for 10 minutes and was a great express snack.
The Arrabiata Tomato and Chili sauce made a nice quick evening meal for myself and my husband.
I will definitely buy these sauces going forward. I love the variety of flavours and versatility. They may taste bland if you just eat the out of the jar, but obviously no one eats them that way, they are served with other ingredients and as we all know you can put salt and sugar in if that’s your thing! But you can’t take them out. The fact that there is no added salt and sugar is just a bonus and didn’t make a difference to the flavours the dishes I was cooking.
These sauces are suitable for everyone from babies to grandad. They are healthy with lots of flavour and they are Irish.
