Thank you sooooooooooooooo much! We got the bread today - just in time for the kids coming in from school, so we got into straight away.
The kids liked the seeded bread (which I was a bit surprised at as they're normally quite picky about 'bits'), and they shared a slice toasted, and one slice not, meant they could get a really good idea about the taste (or so they said).
I agreed with them on the preference, I really liked the seed one, and not so much the ancient grains.
We are a bread loving family, and I think we've tried every brand out there. I would buy this bread again.
Would be very happy to recoomed Johnston Mooney and O'Briend Great Grains Bread.

Thanks very much for letting me take part in this Mums say group. We really enjoyed it.
We received our bread yesterday, lovely and fresh, and well, it was demolished. Friday is grocery day in our house, but I hadn't gotten to it ... so the cupboards were very bare. That said, we still had eggs, beans, butter and rashers. And we had a fest on Friday night.
The kids loved the bread, they'd normally have it toasted, but they ate it fresh. I'll be honest, I don't normally buy one brand of bread, it's very often the cheapest, and I would only rarely buy brown bread, for fear of a revolt. But I was pleasantly surpised, the kids really liked it, as did the hubby and I did too.
Both types - Ancient Grains and Seeded Hi-Fibre were winners. I think I probably preferred teh seeded one - just a matter of personal preference.
I'm very happy to know that these breads are healthy for my family and that they'll eat healthy without a quibble. Great to know it has Vitamin D and protein.
I will definitely buy this bread from Johnston Mooney & O'Brien - and I would recommend to other mums (especially with picky eaters - as mine didn't bat an eyelid)
Thanks again.

We loved being part of this group test - although, you were on to a winner with bread, it's number one in our house.
I don't always buy Johnston Mooney & O'Brien, and I certainly wouldn't be against buying that brand. I'm always happy to support Irish brands.
I didn't try out the bread until Saturday morning - that's our relaxed morning, the kids have activities, but not unti later in the day, so it gave us all time to give this our full attention.
The kids LOVED the Ancient Grains - they said they could taste the difference from our normal bread and they would be very happy to have this bread every day.
Dad liked the hi-fibre seed, and I'm happy to report I enjoyed both.
I'm very conscious of maintaining a healthy balanced diet, with plenty of fibre, for my family. These breads offer a good balance, and I'd be very happy to buy them again. (in fact - the kids have insisted - do you definitely have their vote).
I would recommend this to other mums.
Thank you for allowing my family take part.

The kids really loved this trial - anything with food, and they're very happy tbh.
They had it for lunch with cheese and ham, and for breakfast toasted - they were very pleased.
I tried both, I liked the ancient grains, but any kid of bits in bread is not my cup of tea at all I'm afraid.
It's good to konw there's a healthy bread option available, I do worry about my family eating healthy.

We always buy Johnston Mooney and O'Brien - but just the white bread as that's what the kids will eat. I was surprised when they wanted to try this one - but I'm afraid they are still very much white bread fans, sorry about that.
However, I absolutely loved it. I never really think of buying new breads, just used to what I always buy I suppose. This bread was gorgeous both fresh and toasted. The hubby and me ate every crumb of both - so we didn't have a favourite.
The colour and packaging on the bread is great - and does stand out in the shop, I've since bought the seeded one again.
I would recommend this bread, it's really tasty.

We buys lots of different breads, including Johnston Mooney and O'Brien. Unless I'm buying fresh baked bread, I think most breads are pretty much the same.
The packaging on the Great Grains bread from Johston Mooney and O'Brien is very nice, I'm not sure packaging makes me buy bread though, could be that I'm just used to what I'm buy week after week.
I'm very aware of feeding my family a healthy diet - and it's good to know that Great Grains are a good source of vitamin D and protein - I actually didn't know that. And I often buy a fresh baked roughage bread for fibre, so it's definitely a real consideration for me.
Bread is our go to snack in our house - my son would live on toasted cheese sandwiches if I let him LOL. We have it for breakfast and with tea also.
I really liked the taste of Ancient Grains - I tend to think most breads are the same, but this is different. And very nice. I really enjoyed the Seeded Hi-Fibre, that was my favourite.
I will buy this bread again, and have already recommended it to my mum and sister, who have already purchased.

Every weekend we go to the local baker and buy fresh bread - it's our weekend treat, but on a weekly basis we buy a loaf of white and one loaf of brown. There are a lot of hungy mouths to feed in my house, and the kids often have friends over too.
We all liked the Johnston Mooney & O'Brien Great Grains bread, the seeded one came out on top, but both were enjoyable.
I would recommend to other mums, and to friends and family.
Thanks for letting us test it.

I really like the idea of these breads. We don’t normally buy Johnson Mooney and O’Brien bread so we didn’t really know what to expect. We used the bread for sandwiches as we were heading out for a long walk last Saturday. Our lunch party was equally divided in preference between both types of bread. I really like the idea that they are higher in protein than normal bread and I was glad of the extra fibre too for everyone as sometimes I struggle to get higher fibre products into the kids. I’d be very happy to buy either of them again and would recommend them too.

We have never really bought Johnson Mooney & Obrien bread so I wasn’t sure what to expect when signing up for this trial. We had visitors last weekend when the bread arrived so it was a welcome addition to a fun weekend. The kids thought it great craic that we were being asked to try something new. We made sandwiches out of our bread too and everyone really liked the bread. We did have one dissenter but that’s because they only eat white bread but I wouldn’t let them put you off. Ancient Grains has a hearty flavour to it because of the spelt flour. The seeded one is (as you’d expect) quite seedy with little grains of seed through every slice. The sandwiches were eaten with gusto and we had no complaints. Preferences were varied but that was probably more down to fillings rather than the bread itself. If I had to choose, I’d probably pick the higher fibre one as it’s an easy win with the kids but only marginally so. Will buy again.

We are a house of bread eaters. We consume a huge amount of bread each week. My sons play a lot of sport so they frequently bring sambos for after their game especially if they are away. I really enjoyed doing something different and trying the bread out was great fun. We tried the bread out plain (with a bit of butter) and in sandwiches too. The packet sizes are quite small which is probably a good thing for us as they boys won't eat stale bread. My two sons liked the taste of the seed bread best of all. I liked the ancient grains one as did my husband. As they play so much sport, I liked the fact that they were higher in protein and fibre than normal breads. So big thumbs up in our house and I've already bought again!

Thanks very much for allowing me take part in this trial – we loved being involved. We received the two types of Johnson Mooney and O’Brien ‘Great Grains’ bread to try. The first was Ancient Grains and the Seeded High Fibre bread.
In the interests of the trial, we opened both breads at the same time and tasted both just plain with a bit of butter. The bread was so fresh to be honest, it needed nothing more.
My two boys liked the Ancient Grains best and my GM and I preferred the Seeded High Fibre one. But to be honest, there wasn’t much in it. I liked the idea of having the seeds as the bread seems better (for you) with them. We have stopped buying white bread and only buy brown now so these two breads are a welcome addition as they allow you have sliced pan but with healthy benefits too.
I’d definitely buy them again.

Really enjoyed doing this taste test – it was fun and the children enjoyed the idea of it too. We got our two types of bread last week and tried them over the next few days. The breads are quite different really – one is seedy/nutty in texture and flavor too. The other (ancient grains) is more refined bread but it has a lovely warm flavor to it I guess from the spelt flour. The children really liked the seeded bread as did my husband. I preferred the ancient grains one but that’s only if I had to pick. The higher level of protein and fibre appeals to me hugely and its reason enough to recommend and buy again. That said, they taste great so I’d highly recommend a try.

As a family I would purchase JMOB Sandwiche Thins or a regular slice pan, and would also rate them very highly for freshness, taste and price. The Sandwiche Thins are a particular favourite in our house. The packaging of the Great Gains was the first thing that jumped out at me, I loved the new style package and highlighted benefits on the pack. I made my hubby and I a sandwiche using the Ancient Gains bread and we both just loved the taste and texture of the bread – it tasted really hearty. We are both quite health concious - so we loved this. I made the kids and my own lunch the next day using the Seeded Hi-Fibre and personally this was my favourite – I loved the seeds and grains addition. The kids were also raving about their sandwiches when they came home – they get so fed up of plain white bread so they loved these new flavours. I also love the fact that this bread is a good source of Vitamin D, protein and is high in fibre. It is quite hard to ensure my little ones are getting enough nutrition on a daily basis – and knowing that they are getting a little bit more from their bread is just fantastic. I would defintely buy JMOB Great Gains again, and infact my daughter has asked for it again also – great success. I have already told my sisters and neighbour about the bread! Thank you for the opportunity to try it :-)

Thank you so much for the opportunity to try the new Great Gains bread! My kids are quite picky with their food, which is a worry as I am always afraid that they aren't getting enough nutrients in their diet. I popped a Ancient Grain sandwiche in their lunchboxes on Day 1 and didn't say anything - surprisingly enough they didn't mention it when they got home. Day 2, I did the same and when I asked them after school - they said they loved the bread - it was tasty and a "nice break" from white bread - said my little boy. Personally - I loved the Seed H-Fibre bread, I love anything with added seeds or grains and this bread is just delicious! I wouldn't normally purchase JMOB products but going forward I will definately be buying the Great Gains bread. I am very impressed with the presence of Vit D, protein and fibre in each slice and also that it doesn't impact the taste. Thanks again :-)

Thanks so much for letting us be part of this great trial.

JMOB has been a firm favourite in our house for years so we were very excited to trial this new offering. We love the colours of the packaging and reminded us of Ireland :)

We loved the taste of the bread and the added bonuses of getting extra nutrients is a major plus. We use this toasted where the grains were lovely as well as dipped in a hot bowl of soup. We never thought JMOB could improve but we as a family fell in love with these new additions and they will definitely be part of our shopping basket going forward.

We couldn't pick a favourite as they were both lovely in their own way :) We will be shouting about them from the rooftops. Thanks again!
