We just sampled our gluten free products from lidl and we are very impressed to say the least. For breakfast this morning we had gluten free multigrain bread which is gorgeous toasted. You'd never know it was gluten free and had no unpleasant after taste to it like most gluten free breads. We also had the gluten free puddings and sausages and again we were very impressed really nice meaty flavour and great consistency. No funny texture to the sausages which is what usually stops us buying gluten free sausages and puddings. They were even approved by my super fussy toddlers! Which never happens. I also got milk chocolate flavour rice cakes and they were a particular favourite. The whole pack was demolished between me, the kids and my other half. I've even been asked to make them a weekly fixture in our shop. Overall extremely happy with the products we tried and we'll definitely be buying them again

Absolutely LOVINNG this new rane from Lidl. I'm a confirmed Coeliac and although choices for gluten free food have improved over the years, value for money products are few and far between. I was absolutely delighted Lild decided to bring out their own range - although you just never know until you taste it. Last weekend I bought the sausages, black & white pudding, white bread and rice cakes. They are absolutely delicious. I've never had gluten free pudding - so this was a real treat. The sausages were yummy - I friend them along with the pudding, and had a proper fry for the first time in a long time.
The rice cakes which I have as a handy go-to snack were yummy.
As we were visiting friends over the weekend, I decided to buy the Lidl GF madeira cake and buns - absolutely gorgeous. And they weren't limited to just the coeliacs. They got approval from everyone.
I also bought the granola and porridge, but haven't tried them yet, if they are half as good as the others, I'll be delighted.
Thanks for letting me take part. I know where I will be buying my gluten free foods from now on. Have already recommended to other friends and family.
Well done Lidl.

Loving the new range in lidl, it is great to see new products coming out and my little girl and husband were delighted to try the new range as they are both coeliacs and I must say myself and my other daughter enjoyed eating the food too. The sausages and pudding on the brown bread went down a treat at the weekend so much so that i was told i have to buy them again this weekend and every weekend after that ... We also tried the corn rice cakes and my daughter said it was like eating popcorn she loved them. We also decided to try the chocolate cake and the chocolate rice cakes and the fairy cakes and the white rolls while we were at it and they all went down well. I will definitely be shopping more in lidl now that they have this new range and they are a great price too and hopefully they might bring out some more stuff..... biscuits would be nice .... I would recommend people try this new range and see for themselves how great the food is even for non coeliacs.

I was delighted to take part in this trial and taste the new Just Free range from Lidl. I wasn't award that Lidl had introduced a gluten free range. There is usually a lack of variety in Gluten free products and they are so much more expensive. It's great that I can purchase them in Lidl now as they are very price conscious. I did try four of the products for this trial but was delighted to see so many other products for me to try later.

The taste of the sausage and pudding were really good, you really wouldn't know that they were gluten free. They were also enjoyed by the non-gluten free members of the family who loved them too. I think the price was great and would buy these for all the family and save cooking both regular sausages and pudding and gluten free ones!

We tried the white bread and it made great toast. It's a pity Gluten free bread is so expensive and it would be great if Lidl could offer a better price than €1.79 for a small bread. But on taste it was great and didn't have any funny taste.

We tried the Plain Rice Cakes and again a great price and good taste. We did also buy the Corn Cake and the Chocolate ones which we are going to try. We do plan on trying more of the products in this range.

The favourite product in my house was the sausages. I will be telling my friends and family about this range as there is a great variety, it really does pass on both taste and price.

I'm absolutely delighted Lidl have brought out a Gluten Free range ... it is by far the cheapest I have seen, I would normally spend approx €3 on a small sliced bread, and can now get it for nearly half the price. This is a huge deal for me.

Now for taste ... I'm seriously impressed. We tested the sausages, puddings, rice cakes and bread, and I can say with confidence they were delicious. You really wouldn't put them down as gluten free - this is really important in my house, cooking different meals for everyone is such a pain, nice to have something that everyone enjoys eating.
We also tried the iced buns and porridge from the Just Free Lidl range, which were equally as tasty.
I will be buying the Just Free gluten free range from Lidl again, and would absolutely recommend to others.

I didn't realise Lidl had brought out a range of Gluten Free products, I was very happy to find out and this will definitely encourage me to shop in Lidl more often. Finding good gluten free products is difficult, finding good value gluten free products is next to impossible.
I really enjoyed the sausages, puddings, rice cakes and bread - in my opinion, it's not that difficult to get rice cakes right, but sausages, bread and puddding are a different story, and most of the time I avoid buying them becuase htey just don't taste nice. I was really surprised to find that this is not the case with Lidl Just Free range - the sausages and pudding taste just like the real thing, and the bread is fab too. It's been so long since I had sausages and pudding - I've already have them twice this week. Excellent stuff altogether. And the rest of the family are really enjoying them too - even though they are not coeliac.
I saw the range also extends to cake and porridge, so I have also tried them and they are gorgeous.
I would recommend to other coeliacs (and non coeliacs) this range is fantastic, brilliant value for money and a really tasty too.

So great to have more choice in the Gluten Free range, I was diagnosed Coeliac 15 years ago, and while things have improved since those days, there's still a real problem wtih getting decent food that doesn't cost the earth. This is very welcome.
We had a fry at the weekend, with what can only be described as yummy sausages and pudding. And the bread was gorgeous too - we tried the white and brown. Even the kids tasted it and were impressed.
Will deffo buy again and would recommend - this is a really great addittion to the available gluten free range, and I'm so happy it's at a very reasonable price - shows just how easy it is to make a speciality product at a good price point. Love it!

Thanks for selecting me to sample the gf goods as a coeliac I am always on the lookout for good value and tasty gf foods. I was delighted lidl brought out a gf range as had originally preferred to shop there until a competitor brought out their gf range. All of the food sampled was fab, my husband thought the sausages were really good as he is not coeliac he sometimes finds them not so nice but he really enjoyed them and thought they had a nice pork taste off them. I got the choc rice cakes and found them lovely and fresh and a handy snack for when u fancy something bold ! The pudding was really good but my husband suggested they are sold seperately for the people who may not like one flavour or the other but I like both !! I got the multigrain bread and found it good toasted and not toasted ! I also purchased the pasta and white baps both which were really good. I'm looking forward to trying the Madeira cake etc - overall I thought the prices were excellent also !

Was so happy to take part in this trial - finding GF food can be very frustrating, and it's so very expensive. The Lidl Just Free range offers a really tasty alternative and at extremely good value.
We tried the bread (white & brown) which was gorgeous, much better value than the bread I normally buy. I also tested the sausages and pudding (haven't had puddign since I was diagnosed coeliac) - I was very very impressed - both were really really nice, and the kids thought so too (they normally stick their nose up at my GF food). I also tried the rice cakes - they are so handy to have at home and at work - a great snack option, these were lovely too.
I'm looking forward to trying their cakes and the porridge from the Lidle Just Free range - if they are half as good as the rest, I'll be delighted
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will buy again.

I wasn't aware that Lidl were bringout out a gluten free range - I was so excited to hear they were and to test it out.

I often shop in Lidl but must admit found it hard to shop for gluten free food so always had to do another shop elsewhere, with this new range, I'll be very happy to just shop at Lidl.

The sausages and pudding from the Just Free range were very impressive - normally gluten free sausages are only 'just ok' but these were really nice, we had a proper big fry at the weekend and I was able to have everything including sausages and pudding - a rare treat.
The other products, including bread, bread rolls and rice cakes were really lovely too. I bought the buns and madeira cake from the range too, which were delicious.
I will absolutely buy again and have already recommended to friends & family. Thanks so much for letting me take part.

I was delighted to be part of this trial. As with every parent to a child with coeliac disease, I get fiercely excited about new products coming onto the market.Trying out new gluten free foods can prove expensive - most of it end up in the bin as it is bland and flavourless. I don't ususlly shop at lidl because of the lack of choice of gluten free options. However, glad to report, this has now changed.
We tried the sausages, white and black pudding, they were delicious as part of our Sunday morning fry up, and really there was no compromise in taste with it being gluten free. Trying out new gluten free foods can prove expensive - most of it end up in the bin as its bland and flavourless. l also tried the multigrain bread, but as with most gluten free bread, it tends to break up easily unless it's toasted.
My sons favourite was the corn cakes, he had them every day for his school lunch with a dollop of peanut butter.
The big surprise was the chocolate cake, I served it up to visitors with a cuppa tea, they couldn't believe it was gluten free, it was moist, tasty and very morish!
All in all we will be returning lidl for more of the same. Really hope they expand this range.
