Feedback for Nestle Carnation trial

I have always been a fan of Nestles Milk and have used it for years for Banofee pie. However, i had never really used it for anything else.
This review is not just from me but from two little girls as well as it was a joint effort in my house. We couldn't decide or agree on two receipes so we made 3.
As I already mentioned before we have made Banofee pie many times but the one drawback has always been if I hadn't boiled my tins of milk before it could not be done to eat on the same day as I would always leave the tin to simmer in the water for at least 3-4 hours. The Caramel solved this problem and it now takes longer to whip the cream than to make the caramel.
We also made the chocolate smartie cupcakes. I loved the fact that we just through everything into one bowl and mixed for the cupcake batter and none of the ingredients were any that I had to buy in special. I was never great at frosting and always found it difficult to get the consistency right. I can honestly say it might just be the creamiest frosting we have ever had.
I was nervous making the cheesecake as I couldn't believe that it would set properly. I have made cheesecake before and always had to use gelatine to keep "disasters" at bay but when I took the ring off the tin the cheesecake held its shape beautifully and the cheesecake itself didn't last very long as I had friends over for Easter and even the one who "doesn't like cheesecake" had some.
What I really loved about all the recipes is that they are traditional but made easier and as I mentioned before none of the ingredients had to be bought especially. I think both products would be great for those that may be afraid of making their own deserts and I will definitely always have a tin or two in the cupboard in future.

Hey everyone,
I had never tried either of these products before but I will be keeping them in the press for now on…loved them both. Especially the caramel. My 6 year old daughter was eating the caramel straight from the tin before I had a chance to put it on the banoffee. The two of us could have easily sat there eating the caramel on its own for the afternoon but as I had bought the ingredients for the bannoffee I figured I better go ahead and make it. It was really simple and I brought it over to my mother-in-laws house that night…everyone really enjoyed it. I told them to be brutally honest as it was for a product trial but no one had any complaints.
A few days later I made the smarties cupcakes. My daughter helped me and I think she could have nearly made the cupcakes herself because it was so simple. We had all the ingredients in the press so didn’t even need to go to the shops first. I had never thought of using condensed milk for cupcakes but I think I will use it again…they tasted delicious.
I had a look at the carnation website and will definitely be trying some of these recipes.
Really enjoyed taking part in the trial!

I’ve used Carnation condensed milk several times over the last few years to make caramel shortbread, fudge and banoffee, recently by simmering the condensed milk in the tin for 2- 3 hours. This was my first time to use the Carnation Caramel for Banoffee and I thought it was really great – so easy and it looks and tastes so impressive! It took no time at all and was loved by all who had had a taste. I’ll definitely be using it again.
I also tried the cupcakes recipe and used some little mini eggs to make them into an Easter treat. I found the recipe straightforward and especially liked the icing recipe – very clever! Next on my list to try is the Bread and Butter pudding.

Good evening all,
Firstly id like to say thank you to MummyPages for allowing me the join in this trial.
I have know and used nestle caramel for my well known and loved Banoffee's for the past few years and always with great pride so I was very interested to take part as I have not used your products for any other banking.
During the Easter holidays myself and my 14 year old daughter started by making your delicious Smarties Cupcakes and to my surprise including the tin of condensed milk just made them so fluffy and delicious, the icing was so creaming it was just how I longed to make Cupcakes for a very long time and no matter what recipe's i used I could never get them perfect until now, the whole family loved them and they didn't last long at all..Xx
Secondly we used the caramel to make Sticky Toffee Puddings as we have made Banoffee before and its an old favorite in our house and used at all celebrations and bbq's. OMG i have never had a sticky toffee pudding so sweet and having never made them before was very apprehensive as to how they would turn out but your recipe was so simple and strait forward I couldn't go wrong and they where delicious.
Cheese cakes are not a big hit with my kids and hubby but are one of my favorite deserts and I look forward to making these with the Nestle products in the future and will continue to do so as they really do finish off any delicious desert.
Hope everyone else had as much fun as I did banking during the Easter holidays, and I look forward to going onto Nestles web pages for more fun ideas for future rainy days to entertain the kids.
