Hi,
we recieved Pip & Pear: Banana Blue and Apple & Pear spiced with Cinnamon from 5 months. My boy liked both of them, apple one even very much. Of course I've tried both of them as well :) Apple one is great, and I've started to use cinnamon in my desserts as well, but I think basil is a bit too much in Banana Blue. In my opinion Vanilla would be enough :) but as said before my wee boy enjoyed both of them very much. We're looking forward for new mixes to try, once they will be on sale.
Thank you for choosing us in your trial.
Kind Regards,
Ania

Hi received my Pip & Pear products which consisted of Tutti Fruity Chicken Curry and Baby Beef Ragu from 10 months. Both my girls enjoyed these delicious dinners which I had a little taste of too!! The Baby Beef Ragu was the definite winner!! What impressed me the most was how they smelled like a proper home cooked meal. I will definitely be using these products in the future and would highly recommend these to any mum.

We received Tutti Frutti Chicken Curry & Baby Beef Ragu. The products are quite watery when emptied from container into a bowl for heating but upon mixing properly the texture is fine. For both products my daughter happily ate 5/6 spoonfuls but then wouldn't eat any more. Normally when she is hungry she eats all he dinner. Unfortunately as there was only 1 of each product sent I couldn't try the food another day to see whether the refusal was due to dislike or not hungry. The food looked & smelled like homemade food but perhaps could be a bit chunkier for 10months +. I had never heard of Pip & Pear before this trial, I did try to check up their website when I knew we were taking part in this trial but it was still under construction. When the range is launched, I woul try the third product in the 10 month range with my daughter.

Hi,

I was very excited to receive the Pip & Pear products, a day without cooking! I probably should have said my boy was 10 months (he turned 9 months last week) because he is ahead a few weeks on weaning and so I would have received the 10 months+ lumpy products. The chicken licken casserole and fishy pie were too pureed for him. The casserole was very watery (lots of excess water when poured out of the tub) and he wouldn't eat any of it, he ate some of the fishy pie not but all which is unlike him.

I know it sounds like I am leaving a not so great review but I actually thought the products were good but for 6-7 month old babies, way too watery for 7 months+. They smelt great and fresh and you could easily tell they were as homemade as possible so I will definitely be buying the curry when they are available in the shop for my boy to try.

The concept is a great idea and the packaging is very eye catching. Good luck and thank you for letting me take part.

Aisling and Scott :-)

As a first time mum I have felt guilty when giving my son pre made foods, but some days I don't have to the time to make my own homemade foods, I like the pip and pear foods, they are the most like my homemade foods (maybe even tastier)!!

My son is 7 months olds and tried the chicken licken cassarole and fishy dishy, he liked both and finished them eagerly, I had a little taste and thought they were delicious, I liked the convenience of the packaging and liked that they were reusable pots, I would be happy to buy these products for when I go back to work in the next few weeks, as it will take off some of the pressure of being a working mum, I would be happy to reccommend this product to some of my friends who also have small babies, thanks for choosing me to be part of this trial Sarah and Baby Devin.

Our package of Spiced Apple and Pear and Banana Blue for Stage1 from 5 months arrived last Wednesday. My daughter had just started weaning the week previous so I was still at the new tastes stage. I found the 2 products I tested to be of excellent quality, exactly what it says on the packaging all of the goodness none of the guilt. They were so easy to prepare, either serve cold straight from the fridge or I did try and warm the Spiced Apple and Pear in my bottle warmer.(my only fault was there wasn't instructions on how to warm it up or if it could be warmed up) My daughter wasn't too fond of it warm as I think the cinnamon was a bit overpowering for her but as I say she is still at the new tastes stage. She loved the Banana and Blue especially when I mixed it with her morning porridge. When I had tried her on just banana a few days previous she hadn't liked it. As a mum to a toddler and 5month old baby life can be hectic so it is good to know that there are products out there that have no added sugar, salt or flavourings and are as good as if not better than homemade. I can't wait until she gets to the next stage so I can try out the other Pip & Pear range products. I would definitely recommend this product to other mums.

Hi,

We received Beef Ragu and Tutti Fruity Chicken Curry and I was very eager to try them out on my 11month old son. He had been a little off him food the days previous due to teething so I was uncertain as to how or if he would take them. We started off with the Beef Ragu. Since he was a little off form I split the pot into two so that I wouldn't be wasting any and also to get a better feeling for the product. The packaging was good - eye catching, informative and easy to use. When I opened it I was a little surprised with the texture, it was more solid than I expected. When heated up though it became a really nice consistency and smelled lovely. We tried this and he only ate 5/6 spoons before deciding that he was finished. I tried it too and was pleasantly surprised. Later on I tried the remainder of the food and he ate most of it without any fuss. Two days later we tried the Chicken Curry. This smelled really lovely as it was heating up and I was looking forward to trying it myself :) He really liked this one and ate it easier than the Ragu. It was really tasty!

Overall I was really impressed with the products. I'd definately buy them again. I feel guilty sometimes when I'm rushing about and have to give him pre-made food but if I had these products it would definately take away this feeling. The fact that they are fresh, use organic fruit and veg and taste good would make it an easy buy for me. I'm looking forward to trying the Risotto. A great product and I'll definately be recommending it! Thank you for choosing us

Hi my little girl received the Chicken Licken Casserole & Fishy Dishy stage 2 foods from 7months. She just loved them I also tasted both and felt they tasted just like it was made at home which is great as I make all the dinners for her and found it very hard to get ready made foods for on the go that tasted any where near close to homemade and I hands up have to say Pip & Pear have got it so right they come in a convient size portion and tub they are so easy to heat. If I had to pick one of the dishes she liked best I would have to say the Fishy Dishy I couldn't get the spoons to her quick enough.I'm just so impressed in general & it contains 2 of the 5 a day fruit & veg. I can't wait till they are on the shelves I will prob take the jump and get the stage 3 for my little girl as for her age she is able to manage considerable lumps in her food.
Thanks again for the opportunity to try these, Lucy

Firstly thank you for selecting me for this trial.
I am keen to get my 9 month old to try different types of foods as my eldest only received homemade food and is now a very fussy eater.
We received the Pip & Pear Chicken Licken Casserole and Fishy Pie. My daughter enjoyed both of them but surprisingly she preferred the fishy pie she hummed her way through it. I liked the packaging and easy to follow instructions. I did however prefer to heat it up in a larger bowl to ensure it was evenly heated .The Chicken dish was a little bit watery for my liking but otherwise very good. I felt that the product was very close to homemade and would find it very handy for when I return to work next week . I am keen to try the next stage when Millie turns 10 months.

Hi there
i tried the tutti fruity curry and beef ragu on my 14 month old son - to say he wolfed it down is an understatement! Especially the curry, I would've eaten that myself. The first thing I noticed was the lovely fresh homemade smell from both of them, not that horrible heat treated smell you get from on the shelf products. The texture was perfect for him and the portion size just right.
i would definitely try pip and pear again and look forward to new recipes - meals like this are a godsend when you are working

Hi
We recieved the Tutti Fruity Chicken Curry and Baby Beef Ragu from 10 months. My lo Ruby now 11 months loved them both. I gave her the beef ragu first and she enjoyed it but only eat half of it whick was good I'd know in future 2 give her half at a time. The chicken she loved and eat the whole lot which is great and the first time she has eaten a premade chicken curry and liked it. I would definatly give her both again. I also loved the reausable tubs and the fact that the product could be frozen. I also had a taste of both and found that they had good flavour. I would recommend them to other mums to try.
Thanks for choosing us for the trial.

Hi,

We recieved the Pip & Pear Chicken Licken Casserole and the Fishy Dishy meals. Firstly I really liked the packaging, much better that it was plastic rather than glass as its safer to carry in the baby bag and was a great portion size.

My little girl has just turned 9 months and although she loved both dishes, especially the chicken, I did find them very watery. I think the consistency is best suited to maybe a 5-7 month old. I drained the fish dish off first, as this was the second meal, and it was much better.

I really liked that the chicken licken was like the apricot chicken I make myself so a definite thumbs up!

I would buy it again and recommend it to friends when its available.

Thank you for including me in your trial.

Best regards

Claire
