With Prince George’s third birthday falling yesterday, there were celebrations across social media and, most notably, a selection of adorable photos shared via the Kensington Palace Twitter account.

Aside from that controversial ice cream shot with family dog Lupo, there was one gorgeous detail that grabbed our attention: the beautiful wooden swing George was standing on, bearing his parents’ names.

We’ll admit to falling head-over-heels in love with the piece, which is rumoured to have been a wedding present to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge; but we reckoned it was the handiwork of some royal carpenter or other!

However, the great news is that you and I can get our hands on the exact same swing – because they are actually sold on the website notonthehighstreet.com (here's the all-important link).

Retailing at just under €200 (€199.03, to be exact – minus delivery charge), this ‘beautifully hand-crafted oak garden swing comes with the engraving of your choice’ – the makers recommend a special date or child’s name, but we love Kate and Will’s choice.

While we’re used to lusting after The Duchess’ amazing designer clothes, this is actually a gorgeous and very practical gift idea.

SHARE with a fan of the Cambridges who would love to steal their style.
