Ferne McCann reveals she is ready to date again after Arthur Collins

Dating and parenting can be a juggling act.

Trying to squeeze a love life around nappies, feeds and raising your little one is a challenge, even for the best multitasker.

However, that isn't to say that single parents shouldn't find love and happiness with a new partner.

And this is exactly what Ferne McCann is ready to do, 18 months after she split from Arthur Collins.

Opening up about her love life, she said that her daughter Sunday has always been her top "priority", but life is now "moving on", as the tot is now 14-months-old.

"I've always thought that this comes first, or that comes first, and couldn't imagine how I would have fitted dating into my busy life."

"My priority is my daughter Sunday and I have to work to provide for her, but she's a year old now and life is moving on," she explained to The Sun Online.

As the new year arrives, dating has become an option Ferne is now open to.

"My friends are getting married and I'm a bridesmaid at my sister's wedding," she said

"I'm at that stage of my life, so I am more open to dating now. That's my New Year's resolution."

Ferne will soon be back on our screens for the second season of First Time Mum, but she has also been very busy with a new fitness DVD.

Opening up about being a single parent, she confessed that at times, it can be lonely.

"There's so many single people in this country and I feel if I can honestly show my life then it might help others," she said.

"Being a single parent can be really lonely sometimes."

"Even though it's the best thing because you get all the love and it's so rewarding, there's definitely nights when it's like 'wow, I don't have anyone else'," she added.

However, she said what she loves most about the programme is the comments she receives from other single parents.

"What I love about the show is it's from a single parent's perspective," said the 28-year-old.

"There is nothing out there reality-wise in the UK that does that and it's so important."

"I've had so many people reach out and say they relate and feel inspired by me," she added.
