She was in London this week to meet members of the Royal family, and thoughtful Michelle Obama took the opportunity to make a very special and gesture to Prince George and newborn Princess Charlotte.

While the prospect of buying gifts for the children who have everything must have been daunting, we absolutely love the First Lady’s choices.

According to an official travelling with Michelle and her daughters, Sasha and Malia, Princess Charlotte received a personalised Alpaca baby blanket and rocking chair. Meanwhile, we imagine that Prince George was delighted with his red Berlin Flyer wagon.

The First Lady’s gifts join the thousands of presents and cards received by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge following the birth of their daughter. Kensington Palace recently shared photos of the impressive haul, sending out a message of thanks on behalf of Kate and William.

Michelle was in London to promote education for young girls, and did the rounds at a number of schools in the city. Just yesterday, Michelle paid a visit to an all-girls school to deliver a speech.

“The world needs more girls like you. With an education from this amazing school, you all have every chance you need to rise above the noise and fulfil every one of your dream,” she told the group.

We’re looking forward to seeing more pictures from Michelle’s visit.
