It has been an exciting week for sports stars as rugby player Richie Myler and his wife, former Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton welcomed their first child, and now we have even more happy news to report.

Footballer Seamus Coleman, who plays for both Ireland and Everton, married his childhood sweetheart, Rachel Cunningham, in a beautiful family-focused wedding in Co. Donegal yesterday.

The 26-year-olds, who have been together for 11 years, declared their love for one another in front of 280 guests at St Mary the Visitation in Killybegs.

Fellow teammate, footballer James McCarthy was a groomsman on the day, and while there were plenty of Ireland and Everton players including Aidan McGeady, David Meyer and Steve Naismith there to celebrate their big day, it was a mainly family affair.

The couple, along with their friends and family, enjoyed a glamorous reception in Harvey’s Point hotel which is located beneath the Bluestack mountains and on the shores of Lough Eske.

We wish them all the best in their lives together.
