When they tied the knot after an eight-year courtship in 2008, we're sure this world-famous former couple didn't anticipate it would end in courtroom disputes, but unfortunately it seems that this is indeed the case for former Oasis front man, Liam Gallagher, and his ex-wife, Nicole Appleton.

The couple, who began dating in 2000 and wed during a Valentines Day ceremony eight years later, decided to go their separate ways in 2014.

The split followed revelations that the Mancunian rockstar was expecting a child with New York-based journalist, Lizaa Ghorbani.

And now, according to emerging media reports, 42-year-old Liam and 40-year-old Canadian-native Nicole, who share one child together, are currently embroiled in a family court dispute.

While the presiding judge has placed limits on the details which can be made available to the public, he has, however, allowed the public to be informed of the stars' litigation, but will decide which specific details can be made released at a later date.

It has been established that a trial will take place during a private hearing in London tomorrow, with the pair having met with lawyers to discuss various preliminary issues.

Liam and  former All Saints member, Nicole, are parents to fourteen-year-old son, Gene Gallagher.
