So we often think about what our kids will look like when they’re fully fledged adults.

While enjoying them as the little bundles of joy they are now, it piqued our interest to hear that there is a formula that can estimate the height your child will grow up to be.

Interested in hearing how?

Well, the formula has been around since the 1970s and can usually predict the result pretty accurately.

Using a little mathematics, you can get a head start on knowing whether your little ones will always be just that.

Try it out for yourself by using the equation below.

Girls:

In centimetres, add the height of both parents together.

Divide that by two.

Subtract 6.5cm from that number.

Result: This number plus or minus 10cm is the height you can expect of your daughter.

Boys:

In centimetres, add the height of both parents together.

Divide that by two.

Add 6.5cm to that number.

Result: This number plus or minus 10cm is the height you can expect of your son.

So there you have it, get the measuring tape out.

SHARE your results.
