Every friend group has that one person who is a little too gullible for their own good, and often it can prove just too tempting to take advantage of their trusting nature in the name of comic relief.

This proved to be the case for mum Vikki Summerfield recently, when she pulled off a hilarious prank on her friend with minimum effort.

It all started when Vikki’s car broke down and the police gave herself and her 16-month-old daughter Madison a lift home.

After snapping a photo of little Madison sitting in the backseat of the police car, Vikki decided to send it to her friend Lauren, pretending that Madison had been arrested for stealing a bar of chocolate from the supermarket.

While Vikki presumed that Lauren would find the joke hilarious, she certainly wasn’t expecting her to believe her tall tale – but that’s exactly what happened.

In a Whatsapp exchange that has been shared to social media, Lauren’s outrage over Madison’s ‘arrest’ can be seen in her expletive-filled messages.

“How can they arrest a f***ing baby?!! Or question her? Did you go in the police car with her?” she asked. Vikki’s reaction was, of course, priceless as she revealed the truth!

It’s not hard to see why the Whatsapp exchange has gone viral this week!
