Lollipops and Daydreams is a home based business handmaking children's soft furnishing and goods, created and made by Maria Ryan a Dublin mum of three who has since "emigrated" to the Carlow countryside.
Children live in a magical world of imagination where fairies co-exist with dinosaurs, robots and princessses. Lollipops and Daydreams aim to produce fun, whimsical and modern interiors and gifts that are designed for and made especially for children.
I have three children, age 6,4 and 4 months who inspire what I make and keep me busy. I began making bunting and other pieces last year and other mothers began to order from me. I decided to try selling online on etsy and at local fairs and things began to take off.
I make aprons for children, bunting of all kinds, themed blankets such as tractors, fairies etc. (whatever each child loves!) and lots of mini doll bedding/cushions. I also make heart decorations, "name in a frame" (fabric names in a frame) and seasonal decorations. And also "fabric face cloths" which are very popular (fabric one side and face cloth the other, for encouraging kids to wash their faces!!).
