A huge congratulations are in order for Declan Donnelly and his wife Ali Astall, who just announced the birth of their first child.

Dec took to social media to share the adorable picture of his new baby daughter - and her name is just beautiful: Isla Elizabeth Anne.

How gorgeous is that?

The already doting dad said he is "head over heels" about his new bundle of joy.

"Ali and I are thrilled to announce the arrival of our baby girl, Isla Elizabeth Anne, who was born just after 9 o’clock this morning," he captioned the photo.

He added that both Ali and Isla were doing well. "Mother and daughter both doing well, Dad is head over heels!"

The presenter confirmed news of Isla's arrival in March this year following reports circulating that the couple were having a baby.

The couple then revealed that their daughter was due in September - and she arrived right on time!

Fans were delighted at the news and posted their messages of warmth and support on social media.

And everyone seems to agree that the name the couple chose for their new daughter is beautiful.

New parents Dec and Ali were married three years ago in Newcastle.

Isla's birth comes just a few weeks before Dec heads to Australia to film the new series of I'm a Celebrity - and he'll have a very familiar face join him as co-host following news that his usual co-host Ant McPartlin has stepped away from the spotlight due to personal issues.

Congratulations to the happy couple on the birth of baby Isla!
