Life with a baby can be tough: keeping to a schedule, working off little sleep and worrying about every single thing possible is exhausting and stressful.

Considering most of us are always glued to our smartphones, why not put it good use by downloading one of these apps to make your life a little easier:

Baby Monitor & Alarm
Available on iPhone and Android
This handy app allows you to use your phone as a baby monitor – perfect for when you are out and about.  This app sends alerts to another phone when the baby wakes. Among a number of things, it allows you to select your favourite song or record you own voice so that when your child wakes up the app will play it to help soothe them back to sleep. It also records every event and every noise which you can then replay or email to yourself.

WebMD
Available on iPhoneAndroid
One of the most worrisome parts of motherhood is when your little one gets ill, but with this WebMD app you’ll be able to check symptoms. It also provides a drugs and treatment guide. It contains physician-reviewed health content and interactive tools in addition to on-demand healthy living information.

NCT Babychange
Available on iPhone and Android
Changing your baby when out and about can be a little tricky but not with the NCT Babychange app. Download to your iPhone and android and you’ll be able to find your nearest baby-change facility when out shopping. As other users add data, it creates a map of the best places for feeding and changing and allows you rate each facility for hygiene.

And for when they are a little older:

The Toddler Lock App
Available on iPhone
Child lock with colorful graphics and soothing sounds to keep your kids entertained without having to worry about them making calls or starting other apps. Teach your child shapes and colors. Optionally enables airplane mode while application is active, so as to not irradiate your little darling.

Toddler Lock
Available on Android
Locks screen so photos and videos can be viewed but not edited. Plays animations while screen is locked to keep toddlers engaged.
