She welcomed her third child, son Leonardo, into the world just 10 days ago, but already Hilaria Baldwin is back in the swing of exercising.
The yoga enthusiast, who has three children with movie star husband Alec, took to her Instagram account to share a sports bra selfie and a special message to her followers.
Admitting that it might seem ‘strange’ to complain about being tired before heading out on a run, she insisted that staying active is her secret to building up her energy levels after giving birth.
“Sluggishness begets sluggishness (unless you really just need to rest). I am not telling women to begin working out as quickly as I am after having a baby. That is between you and your doctor,” she said.
Hilaria went on to clarify that her post was aimed at those hoping to start working out again, and insisted that she was going gentle on herself by setting small goals.
“If you are looking to begin a workout, give yourself small milestones and goals, as to not get overwhelmed or overdo it,” she added.
While the majority of the feedback to her post was positive, with people hailing her as ‘inspiring’ and ‘motivating’, there were some who did not appreciate Hilaria’s words of wisdom.
“Who watches the sleeping babies? Not all of us have help to feel refreshed,” wrote one disgruntled mother, while another simply added, “I wish”.
“I still think it’s too early to run. The uterus is back to normal size after a month, so the run doesn’t help to reduce the swelling. But, like you said, it’s between you and your doctor,” a fellow mum commented.
