She has always been very vocal about her personal life, so it is no surprise that this Hollywood mum would want to share her happy news with fans.

Pamela Anderson, who contracted hepatitis C after sharing a tattoo needle with her ex-husband, Tommy Lee, has taken to Instagram to let everyone know she is now cured.

The 48-year-old, who is mum to Dylan and Brandon, revealed back in 2002 that she had the disease, but had been taking a new medicine to help her get rid of it.

Thankfully, after suffering from it for 16 years, the former Baywatch star, who previously admitted that it felt like a “death sentence”, is now free of it and hopes it will be available for others soon.

Previously opening up on life with the condition, the star said: “I’m very fortunate that I’ve had Hep C for about sixteen years. Sixteen years ago, that was a death sentence.”

“I think it really worked on my self-esteem. Even though I may have looked confident on the outside, I think it really was a dark cloud that lingered over me,” she added.

We are delighted for Pamela and wish her the best in the future.
