If your house is anything like ours, you will have a plentiful supply of teeth-shattering candy canes leftover from gifts and Christmas tree decorations. You may be apprehensive about giving these to your kids (because of said teeth-shattering quality), but we have a handy, quick and creative tip for making sure they don’t go to waste - candy cane cream.

 

What you will need:

  • 115ml of cream and milk (combined)
  • 50g sugar
  • 50g crushed candy canes
  • A sealable jar

Method:

  • Pour the sugar, cream and milk mixture, and crushed candy canes into a jar.
  • Seal the jar and shake the ingredients until they are evenly mixed.
  • Add the creamy mixture to your mid-morning coffee for a kick of peppermint to wake you up.
