Is there a Strictly Come Dancing baby on the way? Not quite yet but it's very possible.

Dancer, Aljaz Skorjanec has opened up about wanting children of his own after becoming an uncle for the first time.

The 28-year-old is married to fellow Strictly dancer, Janette Manrara.

In an interview, he gushed over his newborn niece and explained how little Zala is his "biggest fan," after her birth earlier this month.

The conversation soon turned to if Zala makes him want children of his own.

To which the dancer answered: "Yes it does. I've always been broody but I can't wait to meet her [Zala] actually, more than anything."

"I can't think of myself if I'm broody or not broody, I just can't wait to meet her… I love kids," he added.

One thing is for certain, he's a very proud uncle and Aljaz regularly shows off pictures of the little girl on his Instagram.

His sister Lara gave birth to her first child and the dancer explained to Hello! Magazine that "she's the first [grandchild] in the family - so it's even more special."

"It's a bit weird calling my mum and dad, grandma and grandpa," he added to the publication.

Aljaz and Janette tied the knot in 2017 after he proposed two years earlier - and who knows when the couple will choose to have children, but one thing is for certain, Aljaz adores his niece.

Aljaz is also a hit with his Strictly partner, Kate Silverton's children.

The newsreader is mum to six-year-old Clemency and four-year-old, Wilbur.

Kate revealed that Aljaz went on the school run with her, "which was super cute."

"He was like the Pied Piper, even the mums and the kids at school were like, 'Make way, make way,'" she said.
