Actress Michelle Keegan has revealed that she’d love to have a big family with husband Mark Wright.

In an interview with Women’s Health, 30-year-old Michelle said having a baby isn’t on the cards right now, due to the couple’s busy schedules.

“We’ve not planned anything, and realistically, nothing can happen right now because I’m too busy. But I’ve always been broody. I love kids, and I want four, so hopefully in the near future,” she added.

For now, the couple are in a long-distance relationship, as Mark has been in LA pursuing his dreams of being a TV presenter; while Michelle has also been abroad, filming Our Girl, jetting off to exotic locations such as South Africa, Nepal and Malaysia.

Michelle explained that although being in a long-distance marriage is difficult, she speaks to Mark every day.

“It’s hard being away from him (while I’m filming). Really hard.

"But we FaceTime and speak, like, all day, every day! That’s what keeps me sane,” she said.

The couple have been plagued by rumours of a split recently, however Michelle insists their marriage is rock-solid.

In a recent interview with The Sun, the actress hit back at claims that their marriage is in difficulty.

"I don’t understand how a couple can’t have their separate careers, and why can’t a newly-married woman go off and do her job, and a husband go off and do his?" she asked.

The actress also revealed that she “hates” the gym and has to force herself to go there.

“I go to the gym. I hate the gym, I hate going to the gym, I hate walking into the gym; but as soon as I leave, I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders,” she explained.

In the past, former TOWIE star Mark also hinted at his desire to have a family.

“I am so excited to hopefully one day be a dad, but it's not going to be anytime soon,” he told New! magazine, shortly after the couple tied the knot.

Mark added that his family are very keen on the idea of the couple having a little one of their own: “(My family) all love kids, so I'm sure they're very excited for when that happens.”

We think Mark and Michelle would be great parents – watch this space, mums!
