Kim Kardashian has given an interview with Ellen de Generes, about her horrific armed robbery in Paris last October.

She says the incident was “a wake-up call” for her, and she no longer focuses so much on material things.

The thieves stole an estimated $10million worth of jewels from Kim, including her 20-carat engagement ring, according to The Mail Online.

The reality star explained that she has changed her outlook completely since the robbery.

“I was definitely materialistic before, not that there's anything bad with having things and working hard to get those things. I'm really proud of everyone around me that's successful.

“But I'm so happy that my kids get this me; that this is who I am, raising my kids. I just don't care about that stuff anymore. I really don't.”

Tomorrow, @KimKardashian is here and she’s honest about absolutely everything.

“Of course, when you get engaged you're going to show off your ring, if you get a car - no matter what it is - you feel really proud, and you might show it off on social media.

“I'm not here to show off the way that I used to. It's just not who I am anymore.”

Kim was devoid of jewellery during her appearance, and says she doesn’t wear jewels anymore. After the robbery, Kim made the chilling discovery that her robbers had been following her actions for two years before they made their move.

“They had heard interviews that I did, getting excited about this jewellery, and that jewellery. I truly don't know if I'd ever feel comfortable wearing jewellery anymore, or wearing real jewellery again.

She also said she needs bodyguards outside her door in order to be able to sleep at night.

The mum-of-two says she is far more careful these days: “My whole life has changed, in terms of how I travel and my security. I never thought I would need security staying outside of my door.

“I should have had a security guard outside of my door. Now, I have several just for me to be able to sleep at night.”

A tearful Kim said she was sure the robbers would kill her and leave her kids without a mum.

“Automatically, your stomach drops, it's a feeling you just can't describe. I said a prayer, I said I know I'm going to heaven, I hope my kids and my husband are OK.”

17 people have been arrested in connection with the robbery and ten have been charged so far.
