She has endured her fair share of heartbreak in her time, suffering three miscarriages and numerous failed IVF attempts, but singer Sinitta looks set to welcome a new addition to her family.

The 52-year-old has revealed that she is ‘in the process of fostering a baby’.

Sinitta made the admission during an interview with The Sun, admitting that she is keen to give a vulnerable child ‘a good start’ in life.

The former X Factor star is already mum to 11-year-old Magdalena and 10-year-old Zac, whom she adopted back in 2007.

In the interview, Sinitta admitted that while she was initially uncertain as to how she would deal with all that fostering entails, the story of the recent death of a homeless child had a profound impact on her.

“Obviously I’m an older mum now…I’ve been struggling with the idea of fostering, thinking if I foster a child would I be able to give the child back to its mother or up for adoption when the time came…Hearing this story I realised, you know what? What about just being an answer to a need,” she explained.

The mum-of-two added: “Rather than thinking about how difficult it would be for me to give the child up, what about being that person who gave that child three months, six months, of love and care and a great start in life, before they’re with their forever family?”

We think this child is very lucky indeed.
