There are less than two months to go until Prince William and Kate Middleton welcome their third baby into the world. As Kate’s due date approaches, the parents are preparing themselves for their big arrival.

During the Centrepoint Awards at Kensington Palace, Prince William opened up about how he feels about becoming a dad for the third time.

Any parent knows that sleep is a real treasure, especially when you’ve just welcomed a newborn baby into the family. Sleeping as much as possible is a big priority for the 35-year-old, as he will face many sleepless nights when baby number three arrives.

Prince William shared, “Our third child is due in April, I'm getting as much sleep as I can."

The dad admitted that he is feeling slightly nervous about their growing family, “Two is fine, I don't know how I'm going to cope with three. I'm going to be permanently tired,” he said.

Prince William has always been honest about his role as a father. He previously told Talk Vietnam that he’s experienced numerous ups and downs as a dad.

“There are wonderful highs and there are wonderful lows. It’s been quite a challenge for me, personally.”

He praised the Duchess of Cambridge, “I’m very lucky in the support I have from Catherine. She is an amazing mother and a fantastic wife.”

William admitted that marriage and fatherhood have been quite overwhelming at times, “I’ve struggled at times – the alteration from being a single, independent man to going into marriage and then having children is life-changing.”

However, being a dad is a rewarding role, despite the constant tiredness,  “I adore my children very much, and I’ve learned a lot about myself and about a family, just from having my own children,” said William.

We cannot wait for William and Kate to welcome their third child in April. The countdown really is underway!
