A 14-year-old boy is in serious condition after falling from a bridge onto a busy road.
The boy was going home from school at 4pm when he fell from the flyover at Finglas village in Dublin onto the busy N2 northbound.
The teenager was rushed to Temple Street Hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries.
Gardaí are investigating the incident, but have said that no one else was injured.
A number of people in the area saw the shocking accident take place.
“We were looking out the window and we saw the young chap falling,” one woman said. “There were ambulances and guards there soon after. We just hope he gets better.”
