We have been missing Call The Midwife ever since the season seven finale aired last month. Our Sunday nights just aren’t the same without the ladies of Nonnatus House gracing our screens.
The BBC has confirmed that the popular drama series will return for an eighth season, with the first episode airing on Christmas Day.

There are over eight months to go until the Christmas special airs, and we are struggling with the Call The Midwife shaped hole in our hearts.
Luckily, the cast of the drama series have treated us to some behind the scenes photos as they begin filming series eighth.

One character we won’t be seeing is the wonderful Barbara, who we sadly waved goodbye to last season. We can’t help but wonder if her on-screen husband Tom, played by Jack Ashton, will return.
Are you excited for Call The Midwife to return this winter?
