Stephanie Davis is said to be the alleged victim of the assault claims that have been brought against ex-boyfriend Jeremy McConnell.

Jeremy, who is the father of her two-month-old son Caben-Albi, has denied any involvement with any assault.

Very few details about the investigation are known, but Merseyside Police have released a statement confirming they are looking into the report.

"Merseyside Police can confirm a report was received of an assault at a property on Thursday, March 9," a police spokesperson told The Mirror.

“Officers were contacted on Sunday, March 12, and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.

"At this time, no arrests have been made.”

"Jeremy denies any wrong doing, however he is fully cooperating with the police in their investigations,” a representative for the model said.

It’s alleged that Stephanie was forced to call the police after Jeremy began behaving "oddly".

Jeremy has been renting a flat in Liverpool to help Stephanie raise their baby, after it was confirmed he was the father of her son.

He and Stephanie had been seen out together several times around Liverpool, and it seemed like they were enjoying caring for Caben-Albi together.

Stephanie previously raised concerns from fans over her bruises, which she documented on Snapchat.

The actress snapped a photo of herself in the bath, and her legs were bruised in several places.

There is currently no confirmation that these bruises are connected with the investigation in any way.

Jeremy has recently suffered two bereavements, after his father and aunt died within days of each other.

Stephanie had supported him by attending his father’s funeral in Baldoyle with him last week.

A source told The Sun that Jeremy has now gone back to Ireland to seek support from friends and family.

“Jeremy has temporarily left Liverpool – to be with close friends and family in Ireland.

“He needs the support of loved ones during this tough time and has headed home so he can have space to properly grieve.

“It’s been incredibly stressful for Jeremy – losing your aunt and dad in such a short space of time would be difficult for anyone.”

Jeremy and Stephanie became a couple during Celebrity Big Brother, but split shortly afterwards. Jeremy then denied being the father of Steph’s baby, but paternity tests later revealed he was the dad.

The pair recently reconciled as friends and appeared to be on good terms again.
