It is hard to organise so many aspects of family life when you're a mum. So when it comes to having tools to help me come up with a better system, I'm all over it.

I've been looking for a way to keep all my family health bits and pieces in one place. I've been trying to find a system to keep all those important details at my fingertips.

That's why I came across Jinga Life, it seemed to tick every box our busy household needed. An organisational tool, yes. A family health HQ, perfect. A collation of all our day-to-day medical appointments -  genius.

What's more, I really liked the idea behind the name - Jinga was a 16th Century African Queen - she was known as a great defender and protector of her people. I could relate to that! I felt like that person in my house!

Putting so much of my information into a single system was something I had never done before, but when I looked into it, I was reassured by the safe and secure way Jinga Life stores information.

So what is Jinga Life?

It is a way of keeping all your family's health history in one place so you and any other caregiver has a complete overview of allergies, doctors appointments, and information about dietary requirements as well as your own lifestyle tracker for sleep and stress.

They call it Jinga because the person in the household who ends up being the caretaker for everyone's health is known as a 'Jinga'. Often, that ends up being one of us, amirite?

In other words, when it comes to health, this platform combines your diary, appointment calendar, scales and medicine cabinet all into one neat online hub. Like I said, genius.

Luckily, we don't have any major allergies or medical problems in this household - but I do suffer from IBS and I've found it really helpful for tracking my exercise and food patterns.

My son is on medication so this method is so much easier than scribbling on a calendar and then trying to explain over the phone to my mother-in-law what he needs to take.

It also has an emergency contact list which is essential for everyone in our little circle that is looped in.

It also tracks all your vitals such as respiratory rate, pain scale, and blood pressure. My husband loved the sleep tracker and even attached Jinga Life to his wearable device - his fitbit. This allowed him up keep track of his exercise too, which he found brilliant.

For us, this handy tool has become a really functional part of our busy household and now means that I feel like I'm taking care of my family, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The best part? You can trial it online for FREE for six months. Win-win.
