Amongst a vibrant sea of green, Kate Middleton bloomed as she celebrated St Patrick's Day today.

Celebrating St. Patrick's Day, wouldn't really be complete without wearing green and, as ever, she more than rose to the occasion.

The Duchess wore a chic emerald green outfit (when does she ever look anything but?) with a matching headpiece and simple black velvet pumps. As she made her annual trip with Prince William to honour the Irish Guards for St. Patrick's Day, at Cavalry Barracks in Hounslow, England, she frequently held her bump and looked absolutely glowing in the pictures as you'll see.

It's getting ever-closer to the birth of her third child - she is due at some stage next month - but even as her maternity leave draws near, she continued her royal duties regardless, looking as happy as ever to be celebrating the festivities with husband, Prince William.

The baby's birthday could fall very close to great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II's, who was born on April 21st.

The Duchess bent down to pet Domhnall, the Irish wolfhound who is the regimental mascot, attaching a sprig of shamrocks to his collar.

And the couple looked in great spirits as William enjoyed a pint of the black stuff... or was it? Note the Starbucks sign behind him. Irish coffee?

She wore a fur-lined, emerald coat by Catherine Walker, one of her favourite designers.
