Shortly after receiving a barrage of criticism for choosing to have her baby daughter's ears pierced, former glamour model, Katie Price, appeared on popular daytime television show, Loose Women, in order to argue her point on the issue.

Having recently fended off backlash for allowing her eldest daughter, Princess, to wear make-up, Katie is no stranger to criticism and was prepared to address the controversy while appearing on yesterday's show.

Acknowledging the uproar her two recent Instagram uploads caused, Katie addressed a common argument against the practice, saying: "What about kids that get circumcised? They don’t get a choice."

Insisting that her decision was based on cultural custom, the 37-year-old reality TV star explained that Bunny's father played a role in the decision-making process, saying: "Kieran is half Spanish and that is their tradition."

With innumerable members of the public expressing distaste for the practice, Katie insisted that she too is of the opinion that children should remain children for as long as possible, but she stands by her choice.

"She looks really cute. Don’t get me wrong. I think when a baby is a baby, I think they should stay pure and a baby, but I’ll be contradicting myself a bit now, but what can I say? I’ve had it done and I think she looks beautiful with it, " she explained to fellow panelists.

We doubt that this will be the last time the mum-of-five will feel compelled to comment on the issue.
