Having welcomed his first child over twenty years ago, it sounds like much-loved actor and former Boyzone star, Keith Duffy, would like another go of the unforgettable baby years.

The father-of-two, who has been married to wife Lisa since 1998, opened up during a recent interview with the Mail on Sunday and suggested that he may have a different perspective on fatherhood this time around.

The performer, who rose to fame in the mid 1990s, reflected on having his two children while in his early twenties, saying: "I feel I was very young the first time around. I think I would enjoy fatherhood now. Every Saturday morning I would probably regret it, but I like the idea of it."

With 20-year-old son Jay and 16-year-old daughter Mia almost ready to fly the nest, the popular star has been giving much thought to his family dynamic, saying: "I am only 41 and a lot of people are only starting families at my age these days."

Keith, who has done much to raise awareness and funds for autism charities since his daughter's diagnosis at a young age, speaks in glowing terms about his two children.

"I have an amazing relationship with my son Jay," the former Coronation Street star told the publication, "He is more like my best friend and Mia is flying it."

All too aware that his two children are on the cusp of starting their own lives, Keith admits the notion doesn't sit all too well, saying: "I am thinking the day is going to come when it’s just me and Lisa in the house. I will miss them terribly."

Hmmm, watch this space!
