Thanks for picking me to be part of this trial. I have bought Kellogg's cereals before taking part in this and I have always found that there was no comparison between Kelloggs and own brand. Kelloggs is by far a better product. The cereals I have bought include Cornflakes, Rise Krispies, Bran Flakes and from time to time Special K. The main reason I buy Bran Flakes is because of the importance of fibre in my diet and I would normally buy low fat cereal which is fortified with vitamins for the kids as I feel having a good breakfast sets them up for their busy day at school.
I hadnt tried the Original varity of Special K before this trial, I have only ever had the Red Berry varity. I loved the Original one and will definately buy it again. The reason I dont buy the Berry varity more often is because I find the berries to be very sweet and normally I pick them out of the cereal before putting milk in but I do like the cereal itself.
I like the idea of a diet that centres more on eating well than just starving yourself which is neither good for your health or sustainable in the long term.
Thanks again for letting me be part of this trial Cool smile

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children. We are regular purchasers of Kellogg's cereals, mainly Rice Krispies, Cornflakes and Frosties. We are aware that Kellogg's are a superior product and do to supply now brand labels. A high fibre cereal is really important to our family since it can be difficult to work high fibre products into the other daily meals. Healthy for us is low fat, low sugar, low salt. We try to consider this in all meal planning but do allow the occasional treat, especially at weekends. In planning breakfast we also try to incorporate high fibre with cereals and breads. We are becoming increasingly aware of the benefits of grain based cereals and would choose those more regularly now than before. It is extremely helpful that Kellogg's fortifies its cereals and leaves choosing cereals easier. I am delighted that Special K is now improved and will once again consider it as an option when choosing cereal for myself. I love the original but I prefer the Red Berries for a bit more flavour. I love the idea of a diet plan that doesn't feel like a diet. A strict diet plan becomes boring very quickly and therefore is rarely successful. Overall I am very please with the improvements to Special K and would recommend to friends.

I enjoyed taking part in the Special K trial as this is my favourite cereal. I always have some Kellogg's products in my shopping trolley for the family like Coco Pops, Rice Krispies or Crunchy Nut and always have a box of Special K for myself.

I do think it is important to start the day with a good high fibre cereal. For me I like to eat a healthy cereal which has the recommended Vitamins and Iron and low in fat. I am aware of the important of grain based foods in my diet and I know my day is off to a good start with Kellogg's fortifying its cereals.

I like the taste of the new 3 grain recipe, it's nice and crunchy and sweet enough that there is no need to add sugar. I liked the Original Special K more than the Red Berries as I would prefer to add fresh berries or a banana instead of dried fruit.

I have always bought Special K and will continue to do so!

I was chosen to be part of the Special K product trial and I was delighted as I have previously bought Kellogg's cereal (Corn flakes, Special K, Coco Pops) and am always happy with the quality Kellogg's provide. I was interested to know what the new recipe would taste like considering I previously ate Special K.

As a mum of 2 very small babies (23 months and 9 months), I need to know I'm eating healthily and a good high fibre cereal helps me know I'm getting things kicked off to a good start. Healthy to me means low in fat and sugars and high in essential nutrients. Also, as part of a healthy balanced diet, grain based foods are important. Kellogg's fortify all of their cereals with important vitamins and minerals. What's more, Special K is low in fat and saturated fat which is good, but a little high in sugars compared to the likes of porridge.

For the trial, I was sent two varieties – Original and Red Berries. I have to say, I preferred the Red Berries version. The new recipe tastes fantastic and the flakes themselves are very crunchy. The red berries are just a lovely 'extra' in the bowl.

I know that many people follow the Special K weight plan, which centres on eating well and feeling great. I do like the fact that the idea isn't just about focusing on losing weight and dieting but also about feeling good whatever your size. I think this is a positive image and applaude Special K for promoting this. That said, I don't know if I could afford to follow this plan. Special K is a bit on the expensive side for me. The box is very small and it would be expensive to rely on this as my only cereal.

I wouldn't eat cereal for breakfast most mornings as I usually start the day with bread or musli but when I don't I have always liked Kelloggs Special K. I'd get it as a treat sometimes but as much as I like the taste I would normally find that I'd get hungry again very quickly aften eating it. I was deligthed to find that I stayed full much longer with this new Special K. It still has the good taste that I like but as the wholegrain keeps me full for longer I'd be much more likely to eat it more often. I like both varieties but the Red Berries is extra nice as I love a bit of fruit with my cereal. I tried it with my 18 month old as well and he was very happy with it and loved nibbling on it dry as a snack apart from having it for breakfast. It's great that it's fortified with vitamins as it can sometimes be tricky to make sure you get everything you need and in particular that the kids get all they need and a good breakfast cereal can be a help in that

Of the number of cereals I purchase the majority of them are Kelloggs from Frosties and Cornflakes for my husband and coco pops/rocks, mini max and the little multi packs for my 3 boys.

This was a great opportunity for me to try a cereal just for me and a great start to my "Summer Healthy eating plan" which was well overdue.

Of the two varieties my favourite is the Original as I found the Red Berries a little sweet even though I have a very sweet tooth. I have tried the ceral bars red berries in the past which are not as sweet as the ceral itself. I do however find that a bowl of either ceral is keeping my hunger at bay until lunch time which hasnt been the case previously!! Going forward special K will now be added to my shopping trolley and by having a breakfast in the mornings hopefully I will continue with my healthy eating plan as the fine weather continues.

I have previously bought Cornflakes, Coco Pops, Special K, Rice Krispies and probably several others that don’t pop straight into my head. I wasn’t aware that Kellogs only make cereals for themselves and not other brands. Although I am aware that breakfast is a very important meal I have always found it problematic as I don’t like milk so would rarely eat cereals & usually found most of them to be either too sweet or taste awful. I found both the Special K original & summer berries were really tasty especially mixed with natural yogurt & they are probably the first cereal I’ve ever looked forward to eating. Overall I probably prefer the original but would happily have either everyday. It is great to see a cereal that is low in fats & sugars that is actually tasty. I like the idea of the Special K weight plan but haven’t really looked into it much but the concept sounds good, there is far too much focus on weight & image in society already.
Thank you to Kellogs & Mummypages for selecting me to take part in this very enjoyable trial.

ok So i have just finished the 2 boxes of special k that were sent to me and I must say i'm pleasantly surprised. They were both delicious. I rarely eat cereal, i do enjoy a bowl of cornflakes with hot milk in the evening but that'd be about it. I get rice krispies for the kids but i've never bothered myself. I've tried various 'healthy' cereals before but found them very dry also i'm not a big lover of dried fruit so I decided to give the red berries a go first to get it out of the way,.... It was delicious (had to hide the box on hubby too). i found the fruit a bit bitter but strangely I enjoyed the taste with the cereal itself, it worked. I do love the original taste too. I have been trying to make the boxes last as long as possible because i'm now converted to a 'cereal in the morning' person rather than toast and tea. I've seen the ads before for the special K 2 week challenge but never looked into it as i didn't think id like the cereal, i do have fairly healthy diet but with 2 young kids I could always lose a bit of weight. I'm fairly clueless as to vitamins, minerals etc but i do know theres plenty in the little box and i felt a lot fuller in the morning after a bowlful. My only concerns are that the boxes are quite small (4 bowls in red berries) and I'm dreading seeing the price per box haha (healthy usually carries a heft price tag). but hopefully i will be able to afford to keep eating Special K. as for which I prefer...think i'll have to keep taking turns between the two

Thanks for including me in this trial. Something just for me, which is great.
I love Kellogg's cereal, we have them in the house all the time. We don't tend to buy other brands, I'm not sure if it's just a coicidence, or habit, and we don't buy own brand - they are just not the same, no matter what people say.
The cereals we normally have in the house are Corn Flakes, Bran Flakes and Multi Grain Shapes, we also have CoCo Pops and Frosties for treats at the weekend. I'm very careful about what we eat as a family, and so I am happy to provide treats as and when. And the family are, as a whole, healthy.

I have often bought Special K before, but to be honest, it wasn't my favourite. I've tasted the two samples that were sent to me for this trial, and I really really enjoyed the Original one. There is obviously a change in taste and cruch, so the new 3-grain recipe has definitely mad a difference, I love it. I'm not crazy about the berries (just a person thing I'm afraid) but the hubby really enjoyed that one.

I know that Kellogg's fortify their cereals with vitamins etc so it's good to know that I'm already getting what I need each day from breakfast. I also see there is less fat in this cereal, which is a good thing, we get plenty of fat in different ways throughout the day, no point in adding more when it's not needed.

It's good to have Special K focusing on healthy eating rather than dieting. I have no interest in dieting.
Thank you Kellogg's and MummyPages for letting me take part. Love

This was the perfect trial for me, I love love love cereal. Can be found eating it for lots of different meals too not just breakfast. The Kellogg's cereals that we buy include Mini Max, Rice Krispies, Frosties, Bran Flakes, Corn Flakes. We have bought own brand before and you would know it's not Kellogg's cereal, it's just not the same.
So ... what did I think of it? Really nice actually - both flavours Original and Berries. I don't normally buy Special K to be honest, we have done before, but it just wasn't a favourite. Also - it seems to always have had a 'diet' notion attached to it - and I'm not a dieter so it never really occurs to me to buy it. But I have to say now, the flavours and crunchiness is really good. Totally enjoyed it. I'm not sure what the rest of the family though, because I kept it all to myself. LOL.
Breakfasts are important in our house, something filling and healthy, and I believe that Kellogg's provide that. I know that Grains are important and I also know that Kellogg's cereals are fortified with vitamins and minerals which is great.
I'm not a big dieting person as I said, so it's nice to think that Special K no longer falls into that category. I will definitely buy it again, becuase I actually really enjoyed it.

Hi there
I have often purchased Kellogg's cereal In the past such as frosties, coco pops, coco rocks, rice crispies and corn flakes, so I was delighted to try Special K red berries and original, it's important to me that that cereal has a high iron content and is low in fat also high in fibre, as I have a low iron count and this cereal has every thing in the box I need at the moment also my toddler loved the red berries so it a universal cereal not just for dieters, I also like the fact that once I have eat this cereal my day is off to a good start as its full of minerals and vitamins and I can feel difference just after one week of eating it I feel healthier and more full of life and I have more energy to run after my 2 year old lol, I really enjoyed the red berries version but the original is also nice. This cereal is a very nice tasting cereal it's very moorish and it's far from a cardboard flavour as you would assume from a diet cereal, to my discovery this isn't a diet cereal you can enjoy eating and eating as much as you like if it for a snack very handy if you are weight consense .

Thank you for letting me be a part of this product trial. I was delighted to be able to try these products especially the berry variety for my 1 year old. I wasn't aware that Kelloggs didn't make cereal for anyone else so this was good to find out. Personnally I don't like cereal with dried fruit but on giving some of the berry variety to my 1 year old son he couldn't get enough. He loved this cereal with or without milk so I would look at getting this for him again even as a snack food. As for the regular special k I as always enjoyed this. Special k is one of the cereals I tend to purchase anyway for our family. My husband was a little disappointed with it tho as he felt the flakes were not as thick and crunchy as they were previous. He described them as being more like bran flakes now. All in all special k will remain a popular choice in our house but now I will be purchasing the berry variety also. Thanks again for the chance to review the product.

I purchase Kellogg's cereals regularly in this house. They would be the favourite of all of us followed by Nestle.
Kiddies of course love Coco Pops, Croc Prints, Frosties, Rice Krispies. Not all of which I would give regularly but my husband and I would love Special K, Crunchy Nut and Cornflakes.
I didn't know that Kellogg's didn't make cereal for any others, but I would partly guess that, as you can't mistake the quality of Kelloggs over store brands.
A good high fibre cereals is important to me. Any cereal that has added health benefits is of interest to me.
A healthy breakfast to me would really begin with porridge, otherwise a mixture of fruit/brown bread or other wholesome foods would be what I would consider healthy.
I am aware that grain based foods are important in the diet. I know it's good for your heart, however I couldn't tell you exactly what they do.
I love that Kelloggs fortify their cereals, especially for my fussier children who avoid fruit and vegetables.
I am happy that Kelloggs Special K is low in fat and saturated fat, however I did think this was what it was known for before it was changed.
I definitely preferred the Kelloggs Special K Original over the berries version. I found the berries to be soggy and the colour a little off for me. I would prefer to eat berries fresh and to the side. My daughter (aged 7) loves the berries though. I was a little disappointed however with the Special K Original changes. If it were up to me I would go back to the old type cereal. I much preferred the texture of it. The new cereal seems to have a harder crust. I wish Kelloggs had not altered it at all.
I do like the idea that the Special K diet is not just focused on losing weight. I have tried this plan in the past but I would suffer with weight problems, so weight loss is always top of my agenda and healthy eating is a bonus.

Thanks for allowing me this opportunity. x

I grew up on Kellogg's cereal and I always buy it for my children. We have tried most of the Kellogg's cereals Coco pops, Corn Flakes, Frosties, Crunch Nut Corn flakes, Rice Krispies, and the original Special K. My three children eat cereals at any time of the day especially my two boys who are very fussy eaters, but I am reassured that they are getting enough minerals and vitamins with the limited diet they have.
I know that Kellogg's only make cereal for themselves. (and for my family of course lol)
The whole family loved the Special K redberries, my boys picked the berries out and popped them into my bowl which was great for me. A box of red berries would not last very long in my house as the box is smaller in size and with 5 people to feed I think I'd have to hide this box just for me!!!
My two boys and their dad loved Special K 3 grain and I found when I was full for longer after eating it. I'm training to run the Dublin marathon and I plan on adding this to my diet as I really enjoyed the taste, the nice bite it gave when chewing and I loved that I felt full for longer without the bloated feeling afterwards.
When I was pregnant I craved bowls of Rice Krispies with ice cold milk, I ate it at any time of the day and I was especially happy knowing that it was fortified with folic acid which is important in early pregnancy.
I love that the Kellogg's cereals are low in fat but full in the right vitamins and minerals. I make sure that my children eat a good breakfast every morning as I'm aware that it is the most important meal of the day.
I will continue to buy Kellogg's cereals and I'm sure my children will buy them for their own families. I loved eating the Special K cereal and it was great to see my family enjoy eating together. I have recommend both Special K redberries and the 3 grain to my extended family and they have decided to give them a try.
I really enjoyed taking part in this trail. Kellogg's are a great food sourse and I will go through nearly a full box of Rice Krispies this weekend when I make lots and lots of Rice Krispie buns for my sons 5th birthday party, they just don't taste the same if they are made with a cheaper brand. Corn Flake buns are just as nice also Smiling

Well I never met a berry i liked until the day Kellogg'sSpecial K with Red Berry landed at my door along with The Special K Regular. I would normally walk past the aforementioned Red Berry in the supermarket without so much as a glance cos what would possess you to put berries into innocent and perfectly nice Special K in the first place I would think. The scary thing is I would have spent the rest of my life, which at 43 probably isn't much longer, without experiancing possiblly the best thing to happen to my mouth since I moved on to solid food as a child. The innocent enough looking berry just melts in your mouth but never quite dissapears when eating the cereal as its powerful enough to command your attention without taking over. I became quite hooked and cereals are usually something I would have as a late evening meal if I missed dinner but didn't to risk waking up a pillow short by not eating before bed.The Reg Special K has been given a shot of something which I gotta say was wasted on me as I didn't notice any difference but then again I'm ruined for ever more as will only buy the Red Berry version from now on and don't tell anyone but they are currenty hiding out in my dryer as its not in use with the fine weather, for fear my kids discover the joys of red berries too! Thanks for the oppertunity to try out this fantastic product, as would never have tried it without your sample
