Iv always bought Kellogg's cereals as I'm conscious of a healthy option breakfast for my family and like to read the nutritional value on packs ! I how ever never have a breakfast my option is a bar if chocolate and a smoothie ;( I don't normally drink milk don't like it , but on the wends before I jog I need more than a bar of chocolate ! So I was delighted to take part ,I had tried them before as my teenager likes the original Special K I must say its very crispy and great with soya milk it really did fill me up and liked it had added fibre and low fat content ! I loved the Red Berries cereal it was very sweet and I preferred it with warm milk my younger daughter had me buy a box today it is her new favourite cereal something I would never thought of giving her before! My outlook on breakfast has changed 11 days of eating cereal is a record and I hope to continue it half of the week anyhow ;) plus I like the special K treat packs now also thanks again

I have been buying Kellogg's cereal for years now and I love eating them whether its a late night snack or an early breakfast. I would purchase creaks ranging from Special K to coco pops. It's fantastic that Kellogg's make good quality breakfast cereals so I know I'm not just buying any cereal I'm buying one of the best. When I'm choosing cereals I'm looking for a cereal that is both high in fibre and fortified with vitamins and minerals. Particularly as I need a high iron intake so it's good to know I'm getting at least some of that from my cereals. I always want to start my day off right and have a good cereal as I find if I didn't do this and skipped my breakfast I would get tired and sluggish throughout the day. I always make sure my two children get a good healthy breakfast as well. The new recipe Kellogg's Special K is both delicious and not only that its low in fat. As all moms know it can be hard to get in enough exercise during the week so having a cereal like this really helps a lot. I don't know how many different cereals I tried for losing weight and each one tasted disgusting but thankfully Special K are yummy. I prefer the red berries to the original as I normally add fruit to my cereal anyway but this way it's already done for me. There's no messing about washing fruit cutting it up as I don't have a lot of time in the mornings anyway. I like the idea that losing weight doesn't have to be about eating rabbit food and feeling miserable all the time. Now I can have a lovely breakfast which helps get me off to a great start each day and if in peckish throughout the day I have plenty of snack options I can try from Kellogg's that are not only healthy but yummy

Thanks for choosing me to be part of this trial.
I normally purchase a mix of kellogs and own brand ceral for this house as the kids eat it morning noon and night. From Kellogs we would buy Corn flakes (none of the own brand taste anyway similiar!!) and coco pops and rice krispies.
I do not necessarily buy high fibre food products but I do look at the nutritional value on products I buy as it is important to ensure a good balance of vitamins and minerals. I do find that kellogs have fortifed their products to ensure the best start to the day.
I was delighted to see that both the Orginal and Red Berry Special K are low in fat and saturated fat as this isimportant when watching our diet.
In our house (2 kids and 2 adults) we were divided in picking our favourite, myself and the 6 year old preferred the red berry whilel my husband and the 3 year old would prefer the Original Special K.
It is now been added to the weekly shooping list.
Thanks again for allowing us to be mummy testers.

My husband used to be a fan of the Red Berries variety, but stopped buying it as he began to find the berries quite salty. He tried this new recipe and is a fan again. There seems to be a lot less salt in the fruit. He has been eating healthy since Christmas and Special K original has been a part of this plan.
I loved the original variety. I have never been a great one for breakfast, but I am trying really hard to eat healthier and have been advised by my doctor to increase the fibre in my diet so the timing was perfect. I enjoyed it on it's own with ice cold milk and didn't find it grainy like some fibre cereals. But also added natural yogurt and sliced banana which was very filling and meant I did not feel like snacking before lunch. I have a teenage daughter and I have never promoted the idea of dieting at home. I think it is much more important to eat healthy and get exercise and Special K has this idea in mind. We would always buy Rice Krispies and Coco Pops for the kids and also the Coco Pop cereal bars for lunch boxes, but I think we will be adding Special K back onto the shopping list. I'm confident that I am getting a quality product when I see the Kelloggs brand.

Thanks again Mummy Pages. We enjoyed this tasty trial.

Firstly, I would like to thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to test the Special K cereals. I am mum to 2 boisterous boys aged 3 and 6 and fell into the trap of the chocolate based cereals for a quiet life, big problems now due to lack of fibre etc in their diet. When the cereals arrived the boys were thrilled to try the Red Berry one, so we all tucked into bowls of that. They loved it and i'm please to say we've polished off the box and I have seen an improvement with the boys (thanks to the fibre content). The boys were not so keen to try the Regular Special K but when they did they liked that too. I previously had never tried Special K as I perceived it to be rather boring and thought it would taste like cardboard. My oh my I was pleasantly surprised and Special K will be on our shopping list from now on.

Thanks again Mummypages, you've really opened my eyes.

As a mum of two busy boys I have purchesed Kellogs cereal many times before, mainly Rice Krispies, Coco pops and for myself Special K. I am very aware that Kellogs make high quality cereals and don't make for anyone else. A high fibre cereal would be important for me and my family. Breakfast is important in my opinion, It's the start to both your and your childrens day.The fact that Kellogs has vitiamins and minerals is a bonus to it tasting good. It's not always easy to ensure your children are having the 5 a day required so starting the day with such good healthy and nutritious cereal is a plus. I will be honest, I didn't think the old recipe special K was very high in fat or saturated fat but to hear that there is less again! Yipee!! I personally prefer the original over the red berries but that is purely because im not a big lover of dried fruit, it didn't stop me eating it though! I thought both were very nice. The special K weight plan is easy to follow and you don't have to starve yourself or count every calorie you put on your plate, I thinks its a healthy and easy way to lose some weight. I will be continuing to buy Special K and the other mentioned cereals for the kids but the special K will all be for me. I want to thank you Mummy pages & Kellogs for allowing me to be a tester. I hope to be of help in the future.

What a lovely trial to take part in! My husband, our 3 year old son and I all really enjoyed the original Special K - so crunchy and great flavour to it. The red berries are nice for a change but I think I would only eat it once a week, I would prefer just to add my own fresh fruit to cereal.
Well done Kellogs - an improved delicious Special K!

I tried Kellogg’s Corn Flakes®, All Bran with berries, Kellogg’s Coco Croc Prints and Mini Max. We are trying to eat healthy. Variety of food is very important
for me and my family. Healthy food for me means - natural, organic, less salt and sugar, wholegrain, high fibre, low fat, especially saturated (my partner
has high cholesterol level), no artificial colours or preservatives. I always read the labels before purchasing any new product. Usually for breakfast we eat
oat porridge, fromage frais, yogurts, fruits or cereals. Cereals are convenient when in the hurry.

I’m aware of the importance of grain based foods in our diet, but sometimes it’s not that easy to make.

What I really like is that new cereal is high in fibre, with added essential vitamins and healthy choice for breakfast – the most important meal of the day. Its very easy to prepare, which is perfect for busy mornings. I like the taste, it’s so delicious, I think because its made with three grains (I love taste of rice flakes). Specialy the Original. The berries (Red Berries box) seems artificial, very intense sweetness and colour, so I prefer the Original one. I’m very happy that Kellogg’s Special K is low in fat, because I’m trying to reduce saturated fat in my an my families diet. Only thing is..my partner, when he saw the box, and that it’s written “less than 2% fat” he told – I won’t eat it, it’s femine cereals..” J But he has high cholesterol level, it would be great start for a day for him to...I had read about Special K weight plan, I tried to register to, but I wasn’t allowed to do it, because they calculated that my weight is perfect J But I love the idea were
isn’t all about dieting and losing weight, it should be all about good mood and health.

Thank you for the possibility to participate in this trial

Thanks so much for letting me take part in this trial. We always use Kellogg's cereal in our house. I have tried Special K before, but never bought the berry one and to my surprise it was really good so it is on the shopping list from now on. A healthy breakfast for me and my kids means eating something good and sufficient in the morning before we start our busy day, and I like that Kellogg's cereals has important vitamins and minerals.
I'm aware that grain based foods such as cereals are important in our diet, so I'm always happy to have a bowl of cereal, even if it's not just for breakfast. I like Special K it is good for the whole family and not so much on dieting and losing weight. My daughter is a very fussy eater and she really enjoyed them so Special K had got the thumbs up in our house from now on.
I really enjoyed the Special K Red Berries, it's a nice change from the original one that one was nice too. The kids and husband also wanted to try it and whilst the husband liked the Original one, the kids were big fans of the berries. We will definitely be buying it again, and I've also got my friends and there kids hooked too.
Thanks again for letting us take part.

Thanks for letting me try the Kelloggs Special K Trial. I have to admit that I don't usually eat breakfast as I don't like milk and it is very hard to eat dry cereal. I did like the plain Special K though. I thought it had a nice taste and the kids nabbed some of it too and they loved it and want me to buy it for them now, which makes a change from the sugary, chocolatey ones they normally want. However none of us liked the Red Berries Special K. I thought the fruit was very processed, had a strange texture and really did nothing for the cereal. I wouldn't buy the Red Berries Special K but I would buy the original version.

I have used Kelloggs cereal's for years. Myself, my husband and the children eat everything from Cornflakes, Rice Krispies, Frosties, All Bran, Special K, Coco Pops, Crunchy Nut Corn Flakes etc.
We have tried switching to other less expensive brands over the years but have always switched back.
As someone who has always struggled with weight issues I have always enjoyed Special K so I was delighted to be asked to take part in this trial.
I received a Box of Special K and a Box of Special K red berries.
Myself and the kids always have a bowl of healthy cereal every morning, my husband less often. I think breakfast is the most important meal of the day and believe it kick starts my metabolism and sets us up for the day and keeps us full until lunchtime. The children always have a non sugary, healthy cereal during the week and are allowed have more sugary cereals (Coco Pops and Frosties) at the weekends as a treat. I would tend to have a bowl of Special K Original every morning. I try and stick with having 30g with slimline milk as this fits in with the Slimming World programme I am currently on. I prefer the Original over the Red Berries as I am not a fan of berries on my cereal and if I wanted strawberries or raspberries I would prefer to use fresh one's. I often eat it with a sliced banana on top. I will continue to buy Kelloggs Cereals and Special K Original but will probably not purchase the Red berries in the future but this is purely down to my preference in taste.
Many Thanks for inviting me to take part in the trail.
Thanks & Regards,

While we always have Kellogg’s Rice Crispies and Cornflakes in the house, this was my first time trying the Special K range. I am fighting a constant battle with weight (it is winning!) and am always looking for an alternative to porridge for a healthy breakfast so I was delighted to be part of this trial – getting to try out two different types of Special K. I think breakfast is such an important meal – it sets you up for the day. I always like to have a high fibre breakfast…so usually end up having porridge as I’ve never found a tasty, low fat, high fibre alternative.

I have three children ranging in age from 6 to 2 and they were so excited when the box of cereals arrived, we had to ‘try’ them straight away!!

First off, the Original – this was loved by every member of the family, including my extremely hard to please husband! The box disappeared so fast…my children even wanted it for tea!! A definite ‘crowd pleaser’ and a cereal which will definitely be finding its way into my trolley again!!

As for the Red Berries, this wasn’t quite so popular I’m afraid to say – both myself and the children didn’t like the fruit in it (and we love fruit & fibre so I think it was the type of fruit rather than the idea of dried fruit) – my husband wouldn’t even try it (but he hates ‘bits’ in his cereal!) – We still have half a box left.

So, for us, the Original Special K was the nicest and something which the whole family can eat – for me, I’m delighted to have found something different to eat in the morning…and also something which the children love and it’s healthy!!

Thanks to Kellogg’s for letting us take part in this trial – we will now be adding one more box to the Kellogg’s cupboard of cereals in our house!!

I can take or leave Cereals most of them don't appeal to me first thing in the morning as I find them bland and boring. So having never tasted Special K because I felt that it would be just another eating cardboard experience I was delighted to be involved in this test.

Well I delighted to have been chosen. What struck me first was the crispness of the flakes and I decided to kick start my new eating regime Special K and low fat milk. The flakes stayed crisp on adding the milk and as I had some strawberries in the fridge I added them for some natural sweetening. Success finally a cereal that tasted good. Following day no fruits in the house so tried the berry variety. Sorry they just didn't appeal to me in the bowl but my talented daughter decided to make some home made energy bars using the berry variety and all the kids loved these.

The box didn't last long as I found myself so busy with the last few days of school so a quick snack in the evening was a bowl of Special K. They are now firmly on my shopping list and with too older boys involved in Fitness regime they too are eating my Dpecial K with less sugars in them they use Full Fat Milk. I will buy the berry variety to make more energy bars. But for me the Originsl Special K with fresh fruits is my new breakfast routine.

Hi...Previously we as a family would have kelloggs CORNFLAKES AND RICE KRISPIES AND MULTI GRAIN SHAPES on the breakfast tables and also fan of their cereal bars for lunch boxes.

I wasnt aware that Kelloggs don't make cereals for other providers .Health is extremely imortant aspect of our diet and high fibre is an essential must in the diet.Breakfast is the most important meal of the day..it sets yo up so essential to be healthy, with vitamins, iron , mierals and iron.It is fantastic that KELOGGS adds the above to their cereals as you then know that all the faamily are well nourished for the callenges ahead in the day!

Have always loved Keloggs Specail K sinc a teenager..is great for breakfast, snack at work, especialy night duty as diet then tends to go awry!!!Am happy that Kelloggs SPECIAL k CONTINUES TO BE LOW IN FAT AND SATURATED FAT AS SO many cereals are loaded with sugar which create insulin resistance in the lng term and can lead to diabetes and complications later in life.

Loved the varietes we received..the kids preferred the original , l likde the RED berries variety.love the combination of fruit with cereal and also yum with added frozen fruit!I am considering doing the Special K plan when return from holidays...we be on standby!!!!dont like the calorie control diet, the eating well concept is much better.

Thank You Mummy Pages for giving me this opportunity to reunite with Special K, will be back on the brakfast table form now on....mackie

Great trial - we love our cereals in this house.
We always buy Kellogg's cereals, just love them. Anything from CoCo Pops, Special K, Fruit n Fibre etc. We most certainly do not buy own brand - not worth it, even when they say it tastes just as good it doesn't. So I'm not surprised that Kellogg's doesn't sell to own brands.
Breakfast is important to me and my family and I want to make sure everyone is getting a good start to the day and eating as healthy a breakfast as possible. And that's what Special K is.
We all tried the two flavours, and the jury was split. Me and my daughter loved the original one, and my hubby and son loved the berries. So there you go - you must be doing something right.
It's good that Special K is healthy, and less fat, and the new recipe is clearly working if you take the opinion of this household. I don't worry so much about dieting and never really thought about buying or not buying Special K as a result. Hope that makes sense.
Great trial. Great cereals. Thanks so much for letting me take part. We will of course be including Special K in the trolley every week.
