Kerry Katona has revealed that attending life coaching sessions helped her cope after splitting from husband George Kay in 2015.

Kerry told OK!  that her sessions with life coach Emma Cross allowed her to get her life back on track.

George and Kerry split up in 2015 but decided to give their relationship another shot in 2016.

Kerry said that she was so impressed by life coaching that she’s been inspired to change career and has signed up to study it herself.

She explained: "Emma is absolutely brilliant. I've actually signed up to do a life coaching course in October. I'm really looking forward to that

"It's a week-long course and I think George is going to sign up, too. We could be the next celebrity counsellors on TV!"

Although she and George had a turbulent relationship in the past, Kerry said she’s put her marriage troubles behind her now. "We have been (back on track) for a long time. I think a lot of people need to move on from it because we have,” the bubbly blonde insisted.

Kerry added: "We are fine and really happy. Things are going good."

Life coaching has been just one of the positive changes Kerry has made in her life. She recently revealed she’d quit drinking alcohol as part of an effort to lose weight and feel confident.

In an interview with Closer, the mum of five explained: “I’ve practically cut out alcohol, which has made a huge difference to my belly – although I wouldn’t mind toning it up a bit. I’m finally feeling confident in my own skin and comfortable with my body.”

Kerry also struggled with battling bipolar disorder down through the years but said she is keeping it under control with regular medication.

A big thank to everybody who took part tonight and a huge huge thank to everybody for helping to raise money

In a recent appearance on This Morning, Kerry said she now is in a good place, and her friends and family can see a marked improvement in her wellbeing.

She said: “I feel amazing. And I've got to say, this phase of my life I've never had so many wonderful compliments: ‘You're looking really well', You're glowing’."

Leading such a public life from a young age means a lot of Kerry’s low points were aired in the media, but Kerry says she doesn’t mind anymore: “I’m an open book, and everyone knows that, and that's why I love being in the public eye. Because everyone has seen my lows.”

We wish Kerry all the best with these positive life changes.
