Pregnancy photo shoots are a pretty big deal in the celebrity world. Specifically, nude pregnancy shoots became a thing after actress Demi Moore graced that infamous and endlessly re-created Vanity Fair cover in the 1990s.  Regardless of your feelings about it, one thing that is very clear is how that one shoot became a symbol of empowerment for many pregnant women around the world.

Yes, it was airbrushed and yes, she was Demi Moore, but there was a cover celebrating the unique female form as her body carries a child - and it was a bold statement. And even in 2018, it always remains wonderful to see women celebrating their bodies as they go through these incredible changes.

Adding to the line-up of celebrities embracing their bumps is Khloe Kardashian (who recently revealed the gender of her first child, due this spring) who isn't just embracing her pregnancy, she's used it as the inspiration for a range of new maternity clothes in the US. Modelling a selection of maternity jeans, bodysuits, and dresses for Good America, the mum-to-be is glowing in the campaign photos.

Khloe explained via Entertainment Tonight that she had been overwhelmed when she first became pregnant that she could find no maternity wear she felt totally comfortable in. She wanted to remain herself, she said, a self-confessed 'jeans girl' even while expecting.

"When I actually became pregnant and started dressing my bump, I realized that there is such a gap in the market for cute, fashion-forward denim [in maternity wear]. I am such a denim and bodysuit type of girl so it really hurt my soul that I could not wear a cute pair of jeans while pregnant. This time in a woman’s life is super exciting (I’ve been through it with my sisters!) but it can also be overwhelming, especially when it’s your first time."

"Until this point, no maternity denim options spoke to me," she added to People. "Most of what's out there lack the stylish, fun details that I want to wear, or simply isn't flattering."

And we have to say all the more power to Khloe for not wanting to settle for anything less than what makes her feel the best version of herself while pregnant. She looks absolutely beautiful in the pictures - and so comfortable in those jeans!
