Oceanworld in Dingle, Co. Kerry is not only home to Ireland’s largest collection of sharks but you can even get up close and personal with Antarctic Gentoo Penguins.
Oceanworld is committed to conservation through education and research and one of their central activities is breeding depleting species.
There are three species of shark in the shark tank including the Sand Tiger shark and the white-tip reef shark. Kids will love the slow paced turtles or the incredible tropical marine tanks.
There is even a touch tank where littles ones can stroke thornback rays and other flatfish.
The ocean tunnel, home to lobsters, spider crabs, dogfish and stingrays, gives everyone a chance to get an idea of what life under the sea is like.
An adult ticket costs $11.70 while a child tickets is €6.75. Children under three go free.
