About

This April world-famous Irish trad music legends Moya Brennan and Cormac De Barra perform in Ten14, a music show created especially for children aged 2 – 12 and their families.

The show commemorates 1000 years since the Battle of Clontarf and uses music and lyrics to evoke the adventures of our first High King, Brian Boru, and his love of the harp.

The premiere concerts will take place at The Ark in Temple Bar Dublin on Saturday, 19th and Monday, 21st April at 2pm and 4pm each day, followed by an Irish tour which will include: Draoicht in Blanchardstown, Riverbank Art Centre in Newbridge, Mermaid Arts Centre in Bray, AnGrianán Theatre in Letterkenny, glór in Ennis and Dunamaise Arts Centre in Portlaoise.

The concert will combine brand new music and well-loved trad tunes as you’ve never heard them before.

The 2014 commemoration programme at The Ark is supported by the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht and Dublin-Unesco City of Literature.  The Irish tour of Ten14 is presented with the support of an Arts Council Touring Award.
