Julie Hamilton School of Dance

The Julie Hamilton School of Ballet has been established since 1988. It offers classes from pre-school age upwards. The majority of pupils attend class on a weekly basis, although there is an increasing number attending two or three classes per week. Classes are run similar to the academic school year, September to June with half term, Christmas and Easter holidays. During the summer they run a Summer School for Juniors, Inters and Seniors. Being a registered Royal Academy of Dance School, classes have a strong classical ballet technique with most of the classes following the Academy's Syllabus. Pupils from 5/6 years of age are offered the opportunity of taking on an Academy Class Award or Graded Examination. These examinations take place twice yearly in November and May. Pupils also have to opportunity of being prepared for festival work.
