We were overjoyed to hear earlier this month that Kirsten Dunst and fiance Jesse Plemons have welcomed their first child together - a beautiful baby boy.
Now, more details about their little one have emerged, including their son's gorgeous name!
A birth certificate obtained by The Blast revealed that the Little Women actress gave birth to the precious bundle of joy at 8:16am on Thursday, May 3.
The baby boy was delivered at Providence St. John’s in Santa Monica, California.
The proud parents chose a lovely and unusual name for their son: Ennis Howard Plemons.
Ennis is derived from 'inis', the Irish word for 'island', and is also the name of a town in Co Clare.
We wonder if the happy couple will provide any further explanation about why they chose 'Ennis' for their baby boy, but for the time being we think the unique moniker speaks for itself.
This is the first child for both Kirsten and Jesse, who co-starred as high school sweethearts on the acclaimed TV drama Fargo.
They began dating in 2016, a year after Fargo. The 36-year-old actress opened up to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show last summer about how their romance began.
"We became really good friends first," she dished. The former child actress said the situation was wonderful because she felt surprised by how her feelings towards Jesse grew.
"Like, wow, I really love this person," she reflected, "I love hanging out with him."
And now they have little Ennis to hang out with, too! Congrats again to Kirsten and Jesse on their growing family.
