Was so happy to be picked to take part in this trial for La Roche Possay, I have a 23 month old daughter and since birth she has suffered
with eczema and we have been attending crumlin childrens hospital with her.
Before taking part in this trial I have tried everything that was suggested to me , and I did find out about la roche possay Lipikar Baume which I have tried
and all I can say is miracle cream. I was not aware La Roche Possay could even be used on children let alone babies until I came across this cream. Her eczema was very bad on her face, hands,
feet, legs, arms and occasionally bad outbreaks on her torso and back. We always bathed her in plain water and god help her her hair was hardly ever washed as everything used to irritate her, so were delighted with the Lipikar cleansing oil for the bath and she was over the moon with the bubbles J
I felt she was washed after it if you know what i mean as up to now we were only using plain water. The cream as I said nothing compares to it, a little goes
a long way and lovely and light to rub in and not greasy at all – she even helps. Love love love this cream. Her skin is id say 90% improved since using La
Roche Possay, However with the Thermal Spring water spray, she was a little fearful of this and would not let me put this near her – I think the coldness of it
probably make her think it hurt her ( I used it tho and found it Lovely) but sorry i cant say whether this actually helped her skin. I will without a doubt
be continuing to use La Roche Possay products on her, Have been recommending it to friends too. She doesn’t scratch hardly at all since using it and I love
that her skin is finally clear J so huge thank you to La Roche Possay J

Thank you for introducting these products to me. I have psoriasis for the past 8 years on my elbows, knees and legs, nails, scalp and eyelids. The products i was using was silcock base and epiderm in the shower and sea salt in the bath. I have never heard of these products before i can i honestly say i cannot live without these products and will be restocking these products in my bathroom permantley.

Lipikar Huile Lavante (it was easily spreadable and sudsy and my skin felt so clean and refreshed. I missed the sudsy feel like the shower gels except its free from soap, colourant and alcohol and paraben. i usually use silcocks base and white soap left in the shower and it becomes slippery but not with this products.

Lipikar Beameap (moisturiser) at night time my psoriasis gets really itchy and i end up straching it and damaging my skin. This night when i had open sores and put the moisture on my skin was tingling and stringing but after a few seconds it stopped and i have never looked back. In three weeks i have not have any itching. I also have not used my handcream in three weeks aswell and my skin has improved greatly. This moisture gave my skin a healthy and shinely glow. I found it greasy as it says on the product non-greasy it took around 20 minutes to dry in but my skin felt amazing. its so easy to use wth the squeezy container. The directions on it said use once daily i followed the instructions.

Thermal Spring Water really easy use drys in seconds and could carry around with me in my handbag and the best part is anti-ageing. Loved everything about this product.

The only thing i would like to say after three weeks of using these products the cleasing oil and moisture is empty. So maybe if could do a bigger size, but overall was so happy to be give the chance to discover these products that stop the itch, calm the my elbows and knees and improved me skin and improved my life so thank you.

My 21 month old has had eczema since she was a baby, its not to severe but does flare up especially when she is teething, I had tried different products but nothing that I found very effective, I just want something to make her more comforable, I had never tried La Roche Posay products before so was delighted that we were chosen to be part of the trial.
Step 1, Washing using Lipikar Syndet, we loved this, I never knew what to use in her bath so this was great and really washed her skin effectively and was very gentle on her skin too.
Step 2, Soothe using Lipikar Syndet, this product was really easy to apply and didnt leave any residue on the skin, it just absorbed really quickly and soothed, even thought the product is thick it is not sticky at all. I found it stopped her scratching straight away which was great.
Step 3, Calm using Thermal Spring Water, love this product, my little girls has it bad on her wrists so I found this spray great for that, I carry it in my bag all the time and its so easy to us. Especially when you are out and about and the itching starts a little spray and it stops it
I found that after using the 3 step routine that her eczema had improved and she was more comfortable not scratching as much, as she use to always scratch her leg when changing her. Over all we loved the 3 step routine and we will be using it from now on as I found she wasnt itching as much and just general in better mood.
It is great to know that the La Roche Posay range is available in our local pharmacy and will be recommending the 3 step routine to other mams with baby/chidren with eczema. Thank you Mummys Pages & La Roche Posay for included us in this trial. :)

I was delighted to be picked as one of the testers for La Roche-Posay 3 Step Routine. I have a 6 month old, and as I did when I was young, she suffers with eczema, mainly on the back of her knees and back of her elbows. But occasionaly she will get it on her tummy and back too. I had heard of La Roche Posay before but had never used their products, however, it was a product that I was considering buying for her eczema in the future as I knew that it was the best brand for sensitive and eczema prone skin and because it was only available through pharmacies that it must be a product with strong research behind it. That's why I was thrilled when this trial came about because it meant I could really try before I buy.
Lipikar Cleansing Oil - I was happy with this. For a product that looks like it could be quite oily and leave a residue on the skin, it wasn't at all. And better than anything a little bit went a really long way, so when pennies are tight it is not a product you would have to replace too often. Initially, I was very nervous putting this into my 6 months old bath because anything we've used in the past as really dried her skin out but this product was excellent and when she got out of the bath she was softer that I could have wished for! I was so happy with this that it has become a strict part of her daily routine and i even throw a bit into my bath for extra softness too!

Lipikar Baume Ap - I found overall this was a great moisturiser, however, it was very thick and did leave her skin a little sticky for a while. when it did absorb in, it left her skin feeling really soft and lovely and I could already notice the redness going down in her problem spots!

The Thermal Sprin Water - Because my daughters eczema is not really bad, I didn't really feel the need for this product, I would say, though if her skin was very rough, sore and dry, this would be a great calming product throughout the day to calm the skin down.

Overall, her red eczema areas are nearly gone now and bath times now are no longer a worry for me, as I used to stress on how her skin would be after. I would recommend this product to anyone and think it is essential for babies who have such sensitive skin. The process is so easy to do for such great results. I will continue to use these products and thank you for letting me try this out and discover this product

I have been using La Roche Posay Lipikar three step cleansing products for a couple of weeks now. I have rosatia on my face and a tendancy towards contact dermatitis on my arms if I use certain products. When they flare up, usually in times of stress, (as a Mother that is almost all the time!) showering or cleansing my face is uncomfortable as it is stingy and sensitive.
The huile lavante is absolutely divine!! I had bought Rosalic by La Roche a few years ago in the chemist in Blackrock. I had found it hard to source but was delighted when I saw it, as many people had told me it was good. Although it was a great moisturiser I needed something to wash my face and body without it being irritated and the huile lavante is the first product to do that. You need to use it sparingly as it is quite thick and is lasting longer than I thought it would.

The Lipikar baume is also very creamy and has been great for the dry areas of dermatitis, usually only helped by cortisone cream, but I did not like that it stayed on your skin for hours. It made my skin fee a little clammy and as the day went on, a bit greasy. I used it sparingly but still it sat on my skin. With dermatitis, it is recommended that you shower only as often as is necessary. I can’t do that! I have to hop in the shower every day, and I found myself sometimes washing at night also with the baume on my skin, as if felt as if there was a film on my skin. This is putting me off this a little

Quite honestly I don’t know how to feel about the thermal spring water. It felt wonderful when spritzed on the skin and It cooled me down after the shower, but I am not sure if it is having any noticeable effect.
The three step process has a positive effect on my dermatitis, and I will continue to use it. It has not improved the rosatia, although I did not expect it to, but it did not irritate it and inflame it as often is the case with almost every other cleansing product. Of the three products I most certainly will continue to use the huile lavante and perhaps the baume. Maybe as some of the other testers have, it would be best to use this at night and wash it off in the morning...

Thank you so much for choosing us to take part in this 3 step routine to comfortable skin.My 7 year old daughter has eczema and has tried everything. The itching leads to lots of scratching most times leading to bleeding and the effected area,s spread it's like a constant vicious circle. As we were told there is no cure so i am always on the look out for anything new in the hopes that i will find something that can give continious relief to my daughter. I must say i TRUELY believe my days of searching are over. This is how we stared off: Due to the constant itch my daughter has some parts of her skin were open so it was a bit of a struggle to start off. We made a game of it which made her come around to using it and my what a difference it has made. Almost instanly it soothed away the itch, which in turn gave way to restful nights of sleep no waking to scratch. Happy daughter Happy mother. I would reccomend to anyone i know or didnt know. We are going to continue using La Roche-Posay products. Thanking you once again for this chance it has changed our lives.

Thanking You

Nicola

Firstly a big thanks for choosing us for the trial.

My older daughter is 6 and has had moderately severe eczema since she was a few weeks old. We have tried many different products with varying success.
When she is having a bad flare up we use a prescribed steroid cream and we always use an emollient bath additive.

I was aware of the La Roche Posay brand as we have used their sun cream and I have used some of their skincare face products myself in the past. I was aware the products could only be bought from pharmacies. When I had a problem with the skin on my face I got great advice from an assistant at my local pharmacy who recommended La Roche Posay and the products she gave me really sorted my skin problems.

Overall I can say I am very happy with the products we tested. We will definitely continue to use them and will be buying them when our trial samples run out.

I was interested in trying them for my daughter's eczema but as I'm sure many of the other parents will agree it can prove expensive buying new products without knowing if they will be suitable.

Lipikar Cleansing Oil
We really love this product. My hands were very dry the day we received the products and I used a little to wash them. They immediately felt softer. I had been looking for a product to use when my 6 year daughter has a shower after swimming. This is perfect. I used a few drops on a cloth to wash her and it left her skin feeling comfortable and rinsed off easily.
I have also used it in the bath and both my daughters had lovely soft skin afterwards.
I think the fragrance is fine - very mild and didn't irritate our eczema sufferer at all.

Lipikar Baume AP
I also really like this cream. It feels very rich but sinks into the skin. Some emollients make my daughters skin quite red and irritated after use but we did not find this a problem with this product.
There is a noticable improvement in her skin after 2 weeks use. She is not as dry as she was and is definitely not scratching as much.

Thermal Spring Water
This is my daughter's favourite of the 3 products we received. Because she has such dry skin she often feels very uncomfortable. She loves spraying this on herself as it soothes her very quickly yet is easy and non-greasy to apply.

I was delighted to be choosen to test the La Roche-Posay 3 step routine as I have really dry skin and so does my child.
We've been using the products for 2 weeks now and I'll definitely continue using them.
At first I was a bit put off by the smell of the LIPIKAR CLEANSING OIL but once on the sking it felt amazing.
The LIPIKAR BAUM AP was my favourite of the three, very easy to apply and calmed the skin leaving my skin hydrated for a long time (I usually had the feeling that it was dry again after a few hours).
The Termal Spring Water was great too, although if I can't afford the 3 products I would leave this one out.
All in all I have noticed that both my skin and my son's are way better.
Thank you very much for the opportunity. I'm really looking forward to finding out more about other La Roche-Posay products (definitely buiying something for facil care soon)

Firstly thanks for including me in this trial. My little girl, Jessica, has had eczema since she was born. She is now five and although it isn't as bad as it was she has severe flare-ups. I hadnt heard that La Roche Posay did products before for eczema so was very excited to try them.

I have tried most products on the market to treat her eczema and often would end up using the steroid and antibiotic creams from the doctor to control it. Even when she isn't flaring up, her sking is always dry. No matter what cream we used on a day to day basis her skin drank it up but the moisture never seemd to lock in to the skin.

As it happened, when I received the creams her skin was particularly dry and it was cracked and bleeding on her knees, wrist and elbows. The first night I put it on the moisturiser and her skin immediately felt softer. A little of it also goes a long way, With many other creams as they soak up so quickly I have ended up using a lot more of them. I then used the Thermal Spring Water spray on her wrists and knees and she was delighted that it calmed the itching for her. The next morning I noticed that she had not been scratching as much during the night and her skin still felt soft. I now use both these products every night before she goes to bed. I am convinced they are giving her relief as these are the first creams I have ever used that she actualy WANTS and she will bring them to me to put them on! She especially loves the spray and tells me exactly where she needs it.

As we also don't use soap products on her skin she was delighted to have her very own bottle to use for the bath and shower. Having used this repeatedly in the last few weeks it does not dry out her skin at all and I would be happy to continue using it. I have two other daughters as well and have been using it on them, It is oil based but not at all greasy and leaves their skin lovely and soft. Of all the bath and shower products I have used for her, this is the first where I have noticed an improvement on her skin afterwards. Many of them leave her skin parched looking when she is out of the bath and I noticed she used to itch afterwards with many of them, but not this one.

Every doctor I have ever gone to with Jessica has emphasised the importance of moisurising her skin regularly, but none of the products I ever tried did anything for her, and she was even allergic to a few. This meant we ended up relying on steroid creams which I prefer to avoid as much as possible.

I can honestly say that this is the first set of products where I have noticed a distinct improvement. It is the only change I have made and her skin is softer generally, she is itching less and what is very important to me is that she seeks them out. It has oftern been a tussle to put her creams on but she loves these and I have to conclude that one of the reasons for this is that she can feel the difference herself. I will definitely continue to use them and thanks again to MummyPages for introducing them to me. The next time I see my doctor I will be telling her about these to recommend to other parents!

I have loved taken part in the La Roche-Posay 3 step routine. I had heard of La Roche-Posay before but I had never used any of the products.I was aware that they where great to use for dry skin. My son's eczema is mild on the legs but was starting to crack and bleed behind his knees and ankles again so I knew I would need to use the prescription cream again which I don't like using as he is only 11 months. I found the Lipikar Cleansing Oil fantastic to use in the bath and I also enjoyed it, there was a lovely floral fragrance to it and my skin felt lovely afterwards too. I just love the Lipikar Baume Ap it made my skin feel fab! I noticed that patches on his shins improve after only a few days the patched behind the knees and ankles are starting to look much better and not as cracked, will definitely be purchasing this again when this one is gone :) I was a bit unsure about the Thermal Spring Water on how to use it but I have used it on my own arms as they would be quite dry and it made them feel refreshed and not as dry. After seeing the improvement to my son's legs and using the products myself I will continue to use the products.
Thanks Mummypages.ie for including me in the trial :)

I used the three La Roche Posay products mainly on my 7 month old son who has eczema around his neck, behind his knees and generally where his skin has creases. I loved the Lipikar Baume as it left no residue and did not make his skin greasy. I could dress him straight away. Also it was very effective and his skin has improved. The Lipikar syndet cleansing gel was lovely too. Also washed his skin very well without leaving any residue. Unlike most of those wahes for children with eczema it could be used to wash his hair without leaving his hair greasy so a separate shampoo was not needed.

The Lipikar Baume is also a very good hand cream. I have dermatitis on my hands and this cream was really good to ease the dryness.

Will definitely continue to se La roche posay products in the futue. Delighted to be part of the trial

La Roche-Posay 3 step routine feedback

I was thrilled when I was one of the lucky few to be asked to get involved as a tested for the La Roche-Posay group, I have used your suntan lotions on my childrens skins when we go on holidays as it is easy to use and doesn't take a long time to apply. My daughter and myself both suffer with skin problems, mine is minor compared to my daughters who has suffered with Eczema since she was 5 months old. I have tried a number of different products over the years and had being prescribed a number of creams by our GP which I was not happy with as most of them were corto-steriod based. They would clear the skin when they were being used, but once I stopped using the cream the irritation would re-appear. As she got older her skin started to improve and she was getting less attacks. Sadly when she started Secondary School she started getting really bad attacks, which we noticed by the summer were caused by her worrying about exams. So were back down the same route os steriod creams. I was thrilled to test these products as she is in Second year now and we worried how would the junior certificate affect her next year.
Step 1: Lipikar Syndet: I thought this product worked really well on my daughters skin after a couple of showers I noticed her skin was really starting to look clear and made her skin feel soft. I decided to try this gel in the bath myself, as it is very easy to use, the only problem I found with this gel was the smell that came from it I didn't like, when it is used in the shower it has no smell. But i liked the results from the gel in the bath. It was easy to use and even though it was a gel based it was not oily or it did not leave a greasy feel to the skin.

Step 2: Lipikar Baume AP: I really like this product. It is really easy to use. The skin is left really soft again this cream is not greasy. It leaves the skin feeling really smooth. This product I will be buying as my moisteuriser from now on. I found it has helped my dry skin around my nose. it has made a huge difference to me and also my daughter as she is starting to get teenage spots.

Step 3: Thermal Spring Water: My daughter found this good. She used to find after PE in school was causing her skin to crack. So she started to use the spray after the classes to cool her skin, until she got home to have a shower. I was telling my friend about this spray and she went and bought some to use when she went in to hospital to have her new baby. she found it so refreshing when she was in labour with her new baby.
I would recommend these products as they have made a huge difference to my daughters life. Her mood has improved. Her sheets are not getting destroyed with blood from scratching in her sleep. Even though these products are a little bit pricey, they last a long time. It doesn't cost a lot to see my daughter sleeping better and a more happy girl, who doesn't have to cover up as much. So again Thank You for letting me trial this product.

La Roche-Posay 3 step routine feedback

I have a 10 year old son who has had excema since 6 weeks old. While it was very bad we had managed to get it under control until he had a severe flare up in August.
We are familiar with the Roche-Posay brand as it is the only sun cream he and his younger sister can use, and it never causes a reaction. And despite sand and pollen being irritants on his skin he generally improves when we are away in the sun. Also during winter the Roche-Posay lip balm is the only one he can use that doesn't cause a reaction.
So to these products, Lipikar Syndet. What a find. 10 year old boys don't like having to shower and no way would he ever drag the tub of emulsifying lotion to use after swimming, the first thing I liked was the look of the bottle and that it didn't "stand out" in the gym showers. So he actually used it which was a major bonus. He has reported no irritation in using it and has requested more when this one is finished.
I love the cream myself, and he has used it as much as you can remind a 10 year old boy. It dries in quickly which is important, and has been used on the hands and other dry patches on the way to school, which is a major improvement in attitude.
The spray was a major novelty at first and he reported that it did calm his skin, but a few days in if he felt irritated he would use some cream instead, so I would be more inclined to carry the cream in the car or my handbag and keep topping up with that.
Overall his skin is calmer and showers, baths have had the drama taken out of them. It is great to have 2 products that he is happy to carry in his kit bag and use. Kids with eczema are not going to carry tubs of emulsifying ointment around with them. So with the mild improvement in his skin, coupled with the fact he will use the product independently himself I will continue with the wash and cream. If the wash could also come in the form of a hand soap that would be a huge bonus and a great addition to our bathroom sink.

La Roche-Posay 3 step routine feedback
12/11/2012 12:22
My 7 month old son has eczema as a result of food allergies and its been
hard to find a skincare routine that suits his skin. I didn't know about La
Roche-Posay before I took part in this trial.

The first step is an cleansing oil wash, which i was worried would be
slippery to use on a baby. I have to say I was impressed by it, it was very
gentle but effective. A little went a long way, it larthered well and it
was easy enough to rinse.

The second step is the body balm cream. This came in a easy squeeze tube
that again was good to use with a baby. I was also worried that this would
be a heavy greasy cream, but it wasn't at all. It's quite light and absorbed
easy and quickly.

The thrid step is the thermal spring water. This came in a spray which again
was good for use with a baby. If anything he loved been sprayed and found it
very funny, so works as distraction if anything LOL . To be honest I didn't use this as much as the other
two but when I did I found it good and soothing. I also used it on his bum when
he had nappy rash and found it did take the sting away and help soothe him so
there is another use for it maybe.......

I would recommed this range to anyone to use and will keep on using them too
as I can see a differance in my son's skin. And in the 2 weeks that we have
been using them we have used only about 1/4 of them. I do think
that it's a shame that these are only available in a pharmacy as if I'd known
about them sooner I'd say we would have tried them.

Thank you MummyPages for the chance to take part of this trial
