Hi I applied to trial this for my two children Sophia (5) & James (2). As I live in mountmellick co. Laois the water down these parts is very bad for lime!
My kids always had bad reactions on their skin kind of rashy severe patches randomly on their arms, legs body & occasionally the face. It was definitely getting out of hand tried plenty of creams lotions prescription and otc , some worked in just helping to ease the irritation.
but nothing has ever got rid, smoothed and not had a breakout since about 3 weeks now since I started using your product. To say I'm delighted would be an understatement! I'm definitely going to use this for my children from now on and I'll highly recommend this to many other mothers I know here who's children also suffer from the harsh effects of our 'water'. So thanks very much for letting me sample this

was delighted to be picked for trial it was tried and tested on all the family ds 4, dd 3, dd 1. we have previously used la roche-posay cicaplast baume b5 and found it great. was not aware of la roche-posay until my mother gave me it to try on dry skin. I found it very easy to use, it absorbed straight away wasnt greasy and didnt stain clothes like other products. i like the fact that its free of lots of things for sensitive skin. its also a nice consistency and easy to rub in and container is mess free.
we used the lipikar on dry skin patches behind the ears and knees and it cleared it almost immediately. also used on dry skin around the mouth ds complained that it stung a little but was fine after a few seconds and cleared the next day. we also used it on babys bum as she had teething rash, similar to the face it seemed to cause her some discomfort once applied but had cleared it at next nappy change, so maybe be cautious applying to fresh/raw skin complaints.
I hadnt know it was only avaliable in chemists but will definatly be purchasing more when what we have has been used.

I started using La Roche Posay both for myself and my daughter about three weeks ago. My skin has been extremely dry since giving birth ( three months ago). My daughter had dry skin mainly on her face which has gone hand-in-hand with mild cradle-cap.

The product was really easy to apply: it was lightweight, not greasy and was absorbed very quickly without any sticky residue. For baby, it has kept the dry patches at bay and has been very gentle on her skin. I found it fantastic for my skin which has been tight and irritated since the birth. I feel this really has helped and did not sting my face on application – a problem I have had with other products. Overall I have been very satisfied with it, and it seems I am not the only one having caught my partner using it more than once!

I used the product for a couple of weeks on receipt of it to give it a good opportunity to have a proper opinion. The first thing I observed when I opened the parcel was the packaging was uninspiring! However, what was in the tube was more important! I started using it on my son who has very sensitive skin. I have to say his skin has become smoother and the little irritating 'dry patches' that he often formed on his face and leg have reduced a huge amount. I also added some to my own skin. I am currently pregnant and have developed dry patches in random places on my skin especially on my face but I found this to be a great moisturiser for my face. The most important thing I found alongside how well it is working is the fact it isn't messy or sticky in texture which is vital particularly when applying it to my 20 month olds skin!

Thanks for letting me take part in this trial, I was so excited to be selected. I've always suffered from eczema, as have my three kids.
As soon as winter arrives, myself and the kids start getting out breaks, and there is very little out there that makes a difference. And even if some creams do help to heal, there's always a quick follow up out break. It's very frustrating.
We all started using the Lipikar Baume AP+ cream as soon as it arrived - thankfully it was a very large bottle Wink. Although that said, you don't have to use a lot to cover a good area. And unlike lots of other creams, it isn't greasy, and there's that lovely non-scent scent - I have perfumed creams, they really put me off using them. So all good from Lipikar so far.
I can't say that any of us (kids or myself) were in a bad way when we started using it, but we all definitely had evidence of it. After just a few days we all noticed a differnce, although my daughter's was probably the most stubborn (she's always had it worse tbh). With continued use we can all safely say we have no longer got any syptoms or signs of the eczema. Well, we're absolutely over the moon. This is something we've never had before (without using doctor prescribed ointments) and I'm happy to say, three weeks later we are still clear. We use the cream occasionally now, just to keep it all away. And if the kids have outdoor sports, we use a bit more that morning. Just in case. I haven't seen any return, but we are still using the cream, which is just fab. I'll be keeping this Lipikar cream, it's great. And I have already recommended to other mums who have sufferers in their house. Great stuff. Thank you so so much for letting us take part.

I've always had dry skin at the very back of my neck and on my knees. Doc always said it was nothing serious but I hate it. And nothing I've used before has any effect, or any effect it does have it short lived. I was very happy to be included in this trial for La Roche-Posay Lipikar Baume AP+ to see if this could be the answer. And it is. This is a dream cream for me, the dry skin has completely disappeared, I'm absolutely thrilled.
The cream itself is not greasy or smelly, and a tiny bit absorbs right into the skin. It only took a few uses for it to start working, and now I find I don't have to use it at all. If it flares up again I'll have it to hand.
Couldn't recommend this enough. Great product. Thanks MummyPages for letting me try it out, and toLa Roche-Posay too.
Very happy mummy.

We have enjoyed using this product. I was sceptical about the claim of being non irritating but I am presently surprised to say it is totally non irritating. I tried it on my cracked eczema hands and it was wonderful, no burning or itching that I have gotten from most creams. It is also non greasy and absorbs nicely leaving skin feeling soft. I am happy that we tried this Baume and will continue to do so. Thank you.

Thank you for letting me be part of testing the La Roche-Posay Lipikar Baume AP+ trial. I was so excited to start using this product as both of my sons had dry skin on their legs from playing on the floor and one of them also had some dry skin on his arms. After a couple of days the product seemed to be working remarkably well...it applied very well and did'nt stay wet on the skin so was able to dress them more or less immediately after application which was great. I then passed this cream onto my mam as she broke out in pimples all over her upper body and was keeping her awake at night with itching...she applied at night time before she went to bed and after the first night she could'nt believe that she did not wake scratching which was amazing. She still has the pimples but the itching is gone completely and her skin seems so much softer which is a bonus. . I will definetely keep using this product in the future it was a big hit in this home.

2 of my 4 children have very dry skin, more so in the cold weather. I hadn't used this brand before but I'm delighted with it. The cream went on easily, its not greasy and a little goes a long way. It only has to be applied once a day. I've noticed a big difference in their skin. The severe dryness is gone from it and they are not complaining about it being itchy. I would definitely recommend this product based on the results I have seen. The only (very small) downside I experienced was with the packaging. I dropped the tube and the whole thing split open at the top. It might be better if the product was in a plastic pump action bottle. When you use this product on kids you need the packaging to be durable. I will recommend this to be friends and I will buy it when it runs out.

I found the product really great. I used it on my 8 month old son after his baths. He had quite dry patches on his arms & legs and it totally cleared it up. I also used it on my own face which is prone to dry patches & it's really helped. Just one negative point- the lid of the tube is quite flimsy to open & close. Thanks for letting me be part of the trial.

I received my sample of Lipikar and am absolutely thrilled with it. My son is 3.5 years and suffers very badly with eczema - he can bleed with it - am using it on him two times a day and was afraid when i put it on him first that he would react badly to it but he did not (his eczema got alot worse with other creams). His skin is dry now but its not red in any way which is a huge improvement. Am also using it on my daughter on her bottom instead of nappy cream and it is serving its purpose - dont know if it gets rid of rash as she does not have any but definately will be continuing to use the cream on both - recommend it highly and am delighted with it and as willow said am glad to be able to give my son a chance from using a steroid cream

Before taking part in this trial I was aware of the La Roche-Posay brand; I have used the hih protection sunscreen on my own skin and a pharmacist reecommended using the Cicaplast Baume B5 for my baby boy's dry skin areas. Both these products were recommended for use by my pharmacist, as an alternative for sensitive skin. I did not realise that you can only purchase La Roche-Posay products from a pharmacy, I only recently started to look for La Roche-Posay products in other retail outlets.

I have been using Lipikar Baume AP+ for the past 2 weeks and love the improvement that it has made on my little one's dry skin. He is 4 months old and has developed dry skin on his thighs and calves, and more scaly skin in patches. I have only been applying the cream every other night after his bath and it has still made such a difference - the cream feels very comfortable and relatively light when rubbing it in, not as heavy as Silcok's Base or the Cicaplast and dries in very easily. There is no greasy feel, which is surprising considering the immediate effect that it has on the skin. The patches are gone and his legs feel much softer. I always rub a little into my own hands (dried out from the constant hand washing!) and it is a very effective hand cream. My husband has dry skin and occaisional eczema, he uses a specialist moisturiser on his face and tried this cream for the same - he liked the feel of it, it eased the skin tightness and he had no reaction to it.

Lipikar Baume is paraben and fragrence free so I feel comfortable even using the cream on my baby's face where his cheeks are dry near his mouth to relieve tightness there too. I think I would continue to use this product but since the condition is not too severe I would probably use it everty other or 2 days, and I think it would still be effective. I would use this cream to avoid flare ups when I notice the skin getting drier.

The packaging is standard issue La Roche-Posay, which for me gives the impression of being specialist and clinical but warm and accessible too. The 200ml tube is a great size as you really don't need that much, so I like the fact that this will last a while. Easy to hold (although sometimes the shiny plastic can get slippery!) and gauge how much is in the tube by weight. Looking at La Roche-Posay products it can sometimes be hard ti find what you are looking for - could the different types, e.g. Cicaplast, Lipikar, Effaclar etc. be identified by different colours?

In summary, a very good product, one that I would invest in as a 'go to' in the baby cabinet to use as and when required, as opposed to it being part of a daily routine.
