I got my cream before Christmas and I have used it on both myself and the kids. I have it extremely easy to apply and didn't feel in the slight bit greasy.
I used in on dry patches that I have on my knees and after the first appliciation I felt a difference to the skin.
I used in on the kids, one of the boys has very dry skin, as in if he was wearing black skins, when I take them off, it would be covered in dry skin.
After using the cream for a few days on him and when he wore his skins,, there was a vast improvement in the dryiness of his skin.
I had used a repair cream by La Roche-Posay before and have found it very good, after using this cream too I would have no hesitation in recommending this cream to family and friends.
It is an expensive cream to buy but a little goes a long way.
One word of warning is that the cream did sting when used on broken skin, so if you are itching and break the skin, try to avoid the broken skin when applying as it does sting a lot.

Have to agree on the word of warning as the cream did sting my sson when used on an outbreak asskn was broken he sad he stung alot so hadto wipe it off.

Other than that it has been great with my two sensitive children's skin. I have also used it and with the weather being so cold we have all fallen foul of dry uncomfortable skin so after a bath/shower it has been lovely, juts makes skin silky smooth. Great product.

I started using La Roche Lipikar Baume AP+ over Christmas on my 11mth old daughter and 7yr old daughter. I had seen other La Roche Posey products before but hadnt tried any of them. My 11 mth old has patches of very mild excema on her tummy and back and a small patch of dry skin on one of the fatty folds of her leg. After the first application I could see the difference. The redness went down almost immediately. After 4 applications the patches have all but disappeared and I fully expect them to not be there at all by next week.

The cream itself is very light and dries in almost immediately. there is no strong scent off it and to be honest it just smells clean. I will definitely recommend this to anyone who suffers from dry skin and will definitely keep it stocked in my bag of mammy's tricks!!

Hi all.
Firstly I'd like to thank you for letting me be a part of the trial. I got my sample about 2 1/2 weeks ago. I started to use it immediately as my 3 boys have very dry skin. Particularly my 5 year old. I already use Cicaplast and Kerium DS Creme on my oldest boy's (10) face (as his eczema comes out on his eyelids and around the eyes and I can't use steroids all the time!). Also used other stuff from the brand before and found it to be very good.
Anyway - with my oldest and middle son I can see the skin got quite soft and even. With my youngest, I'm not quite there yet. He had lots of scratches on his lower back and although most of it is gone he still complains about itchiness in that area. His legs improved a bit also, but still little bit roughness there. Overall - I'm a little disappointed as I was expecting it to resolve all the skin issues. Than again - I can see slow improvement (more than with any other brand I've used to date ) and I know that this brand is safe to use on my kids and there is no side effects unlike other brands which were recommended to me by pharmacists and yet - caused allergic reactions. Also I find it a little bit thick and would prefer it to be slightly looser in texture, but it is only a minor thing . I will continue to use it on the boys. Wishin all Happy New Year!

Hi Guys,
Thank you mummypages for selecting me for this trial. I've been using my sample for the past 10 days on myself and my 9 month old (both of us have eczema, however surprisingly no outbreaks at the moment).
For the baby I've used it all over her body and face (not every day, probably every secod day). I was fairly reluctant as she has a bit of childhood eczema and I would do anything to avoid a flare up as I know from my own personal experience that each flare up increases with agressiveness :-( Anyhoo, she didnt have any reaction at all and the cream has left her skin smooth, hydrated and healthy (and actually cleared a dry patch behind her 2 knees). On her face, It does leave a residue around the hairline (most creams do).

Apart from that, I found it a nice product to use. It was very hydrating especially for my winter legs and I would definite consider using it for holiday prep/ wedding prep etc. My only negative (and this could be due to pregnancy hormones) is I found the smell a bit offensive, especially on my face and neck. Like I mentioned, I have in the past gone off other moisturisers and prooducts because of the smell (and taste) during pregnancy then gone back to them post pregnancy. On my face, it has left me a little shiny (however I have also changed skincare products recently).
Not that I am looking forward to an outbreak of eczema, however I am confident enough after trying this cream to give it a go whenever (IF) I do get an outbreak (for myself or the baba).
One final note... I caught my husband using this as an aftershave moisturiser and he commented how good it was Wink

Thanks again!

I have used the La Roche Posay Lipikar Baume on myself and my little one, and I have to say it's fantastic. I suffer from very very dry and sensitive skin on my elbows and ankles, and there's very little out there that actually works. And to be honest, I'd given up trying things. I hadn't tried this product but it works a dream and does exactly what it says it will.

My skin has vastly improved, and since I've started using it, there has been very little recurrance. It's a lovely product to use, and so makes it easy to use daily (during bad break outs) and less regaularly just as maintenance. It has a lovely feel to, it's not greasy, it's unscented which is great, and it absorbs right into my skin.
My daughter suffers from dry skin, with eczema, mainly on her back and the back of her legs, when it's bad it's really bad. Normally this is during the winter - freezing cold weather and an insistence on wearing shorts to Saturday morning sports doesn't help!! Anyway, up until now it was touch and go with getting it right. Having started using the Lipikar Baume AP+ the rawness has completely gone away. There are no more inflamed outbursts, and when she feels it coming back we just apply it a littlte more often.
This cream is worth its weight in gold. Get's a definite thumbs up in our house. And would recommend it to any mum suffering herself, or with a little one suffering from dry skin / eczema to use this. It's like a magic potion according ot my little girl, and I'd tend to agree.

This has been a brilliant fix for my two boys, who, up until now have suffered really badly. We will definitely continue to use, and would highly recommend to other mums. It is worth every penny.

Using my sample of La Roche Posay on myself and my 13 month old daughter. We both suffer from eczema. I love the texture of the cream, isn't too greasy or sticky. I noticed an improvement in my daughters legs & she wasn't itching as much. I'm looking forward to seeing a big improvement in the condition of both our skin. Have used other La Roche products & find them all to meet my needs

My little boy is 17 months old. He suffers with very dry skin behind his left knee and on his left foot. I used La Roche-Posay Lipikar Baume AP on these areas at each nappy change. I have to say it has kept inflamations under control. He is not as inclinded to scratch so much now. The cream goes on lovely and I will keep using it to control the eczema. Thank you for including me in this trial..

This is my second feedback. After using the cream nearly for 3 weeks now, I have to say again that it gets 10/10 for me. I used in on my son's very dry hand and while nothing else helped him, this cream sorted his hands out within 1.5 weeks. I find the touch and the smell of the cream also very pleasant. I also used it on myself and I also love it and this is for sure my new hand cream. I am very fussy with handcreams as I can get very dry skin too but I find this one really sorted me as well. Thanks a lot again for choosing me for this trial.

Super cream!!!!

I recently took part in the La Roche Posey Lipikar Baume AP+ trial. I was aware of the brand before but had never used any of the products. I started to use the cream over the Christmas holidays using it as part of our bath-time routine. It has a very light consistency, dries almost immediately and has a pleasant (but not very strong) scent.
I mainly used the cream on my 1yr old and 7yr old daughters. My one year old suffers from very mild eczema in small patches on her tummy and back about the size of 5 cent coins and along one of the fatty folds in her legs. The cream worked wonders. Within a week nearly all the patches had faded in colour and severity. I fully expect within another week they will have vanished altogether. As for the fatty fold in her leg – this has cleared up within 1 or 2 uses and is barely visible. I have tried other over the counter products but to be honest they didn’t seem to make a huge different and within a day or 2 her dry skin patches would be back again. My 7yr old suffers from dry skin along the inside folds of her arms. I think this started when she used a shower gel that was too strong for her skin. She generally suffers from sensitive skin and I have always had to be careful about what skin products I use as they are often too strong for her skin (even the well-known baby products would leave her with a rash). The rash cleared almost overnight. I have her using this on-going now to prevent any further rashes breaking out and even she likes it. I may have even used a little myself on my own arms and it was lovely. I would definitely recommend this to any mother who has a child suffering from dry skin or eczema. I will definitely keep it stocked in my bag of mammy’s tricks! And would urge people that a little bit goes a long way.
